I won’t soon forget my recent experiences investigating the story behind a series of murders that took place on an Indiana farm in the 1990s that specifically targeted gay men.
Director @_alexjablonski introduced me to a wild and interesting cast of characters that propagate the indiana justice system around death and murder, and also the people affected by it.
With the amazing support of an extremely talented slim crew - we were able to document our time with small town coroners, detectives, sociopaths, paranormal investigators, heroes, and truly frightening people.
There are so many unanswered questions and I find I’m still processing a lot of what we witnessed there but I hope you get a chance to see a bit of what we learned when you check out The Fox Hollow Murders on #hulu
In the heart of Altadena, Gabe and I found a sanctuary, a place that supported our dreams and welcomed those we love. For eight beautiful years, it was our world—a tapestry of laughter, warmth, and memories. Yet, as much as I cherished it, I also held an irrational fear of losing it, a fear that transformed into reality on January 8th, 2025. Today, as we returned to Altadena to give gratitude and say our goodbyes, the weight of that loss crashed over us like waves, leaving us in a landscape altered beyond recognition.
Driving through the remnants of what was once familiar, we were met with a stark wasteland, an echo of our cherished home. As we sifted through the debris, searching for fragments of our past, we discovered treasures that now hold even more significance. Each salvaged item, a testament to resilience, tells a story of love etched in time. Though Gabe’s beloved wood shop has vanished, its spirit lives on in the memories we forged there.
Altadena was more than just a place; it was a vibrant community that nurtured our spirits. The nature, the local businesses, the friendships—we were profoundly in love with it all. Yet, in this moment of devastation, we are overwhelmed by a powerful force: the unwavering support of friends and family. Your love has fortified us, reminding us that even when stripped of our comforts, we are never truly alone.
Together, Gabe and I stand hand in hand, ready to face this new chapter. Our bond has deepened through shared grief, and we embrace the scar tissue that will fuel our determination to rebuild on our sacred land. We honor our past while looking to the future with hope and renewed strength.
Thank you for being our lifeline, for showing us the beauty of humanity when we needed it most. We are filled with gratitude and love, and we are committed to rising from these ashes.
