The inspiration behind this work of art is that it takes a lot of courage to dare to wait for something/someone that you have no power to make appear. What if he never comes and all your waiting and preparation is in vain?
This is the story of a Bride waiting for the Bridegroom… the tension of holding onto hope while also secretly wondering if he’ll ever show.
Why does she believe that she’s a Bride if the Groom is not there? Maybe it’s because she’s wise, maybe it’s so that she’ll be prepared.
If she waits til He’s here.. then it’s much too late. The only way for Him to find her… is if she’s found in faith.

I couldn’t sleep and decided to go down memory lane and watch all of my performances and interviews on Daystar with @jonilamb
Turns out we met exactly 3yrs ago on May 10th 2023 which is when we filmed this episode of Ministry Now.
My album Glory Hour had just come out May 5th 2023 and Daystar was the first media outlet to platform me during the promotion of my new album. Later on many other tv shows had me on including the Today Show and The Kelly Clarkson Show.. but Daystar was first.
I wanted to share this because I’m grieved by all the negative commentary around Joni’s life… I think she concealed pain and silently suffered through a lot of things over 40 years of ministry because of how easily someone can be crucified by the very ones that they dedicated their life to serving.
When so much of your life is on television for all the world to see, it’s easy to only reveal the parts of your human experience that align with a “good Christian brand” . Anything outside of that box surely would be picked a part by the crowd.
Christians are humans too. And the human experience is full of all kinds of things. Good things, bad things, ugly things… live long enough and you’ll experience it all.
What’s amazing is that God loves us in the entirety of our human experience. Not just the “Good Christian” part of us.. but also the shameful parts.
The question is… can we love ourselves with this same kind of love?
If God loves all aspects of you ..including the parts of you that don’t deserve to be loved..then why do we find it so difficult to love ourselves to this same degree?
Once we normalize loving the entirety of ourselves the way that God loves us, then we stand a chance at loving our neighbor with this same kind of grace, empathy and compassion.
We can only love our neighbor to the extent that we love ourselves.
No more casting stones.
There is grace, mercy, forgiveness and freedom for all.

Instead of lying about what I’m going through

My dear friend passed away today. Thank you Joni for your love and support throughout the years. You gave a platform to many powerful voices for decades.
I am honored to be one of the voices that was amplified around the world from the platform that you and your beloved family built at Daystar.
More than this I was honored simply to know you as a friend and support you at your wedding.
I’m praying for the Lamb family. I wrote this song Steady and sang it for the first time LIVE at Joni’s wedding because these words rang true to her heart as something she wanted to express to her family. May peace comfort all who are grieving this loss.
