Right now, the most beautiful apartment in Manhattan is on stage at the Todd Haimes Theatre… and nominated for a Tony. ✨ For my latest “Sets and the Cities” column for @verandamag , I sat down with legendary architect David Rockwell to talk about the luminous Art Deco world he created for the Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of Fallen Angels—the hilarious Noël Coward revival starring Rose Byrne and Kelli O’Hara. We discussed everything from London Deco architecture and silver-leaf detailing to Broadway illusion, favorite New York restaurants, and why great design always needs a little drama. Also: yes, I absolutely would live in this apartment. Link in bio. #ArtDeco #SetDesign #ScenicDesign #TheaterDesign #Broadway

Broadway, ballroom, and a whole lot of glitter. ✨ For the latest installment of my @verandamag “Sets and the Cities” column, I spoke with Tony Award–winning scenic designer Rachel Hauck about reimagining CATS through the lens of New York’s ballroom culture—transforming the Broadhurst Theatre into an immersive world of runway energy, mylar curtains, warehouse windows, and joyful chaos. The result is one of the most inventive Broadway productions I’ve seen in years. Link in bio. #CatsTheJellicleBall #Broadway #TonyAwards #ScenicDesign #SetDesign

One of the biggest hiring mistakes founders make? Hiring people too similar to themselves 🚩 In this episode, @victormaze talks about how strong teams aren’t built through sameness. They’re built through balance ✨ Most founders naturally hire for familiarity 👉🏻People who think like them 👉🏻Work like them 👉🏻Approach problems like them But often, the next great hire is the opposite skill set ✔️The strategist to the creative ✔️The operator to the visionary ✔️The structure to the instinct Building a strong team isn’t just about culture fit It’s about building a team that fills the gaps you can’t 👏🏻 EPISODE NUMBER: 457 PODCAST: Business Growth Podcast 🎙️ Tune in anywhere you listen or watch podcasts #businesspodcast #teamdevelopment #hiringstrategy #leadership #growmybusiness

In high school, I worked at the Kentucky Derby Museum and spent Derby Day selling T-shirts and posters in the parking lot. Then last year, I watched the Kentucky Derby and the Kentucky Oaks from The Mansion—Churchill Downs’ most exclusive perch—as a guest of the official timekeeper @longines . It was a full-circle moment I know my dad would have loved. 🌹🏇 Read more in my @verandamag story, on the homepage today at veranda.com. #KentuckyDerby #ChurchillDowns #DerbyStyle

I am thrilled to announce the launch of SETS AND THE CITIES, my new online column for @verandamag ! For each article, I will sit down with the scenic designer behind a buzzworthy theater set—on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and beyond—to uncover the stories behind their work and the cities that inspire them. Up first, Soutra Gilmour who designed the set for @twostrangersmusical , one of my favorite shows of this season. She is absolutely brilliant and also designed the sets for many of Broadway’s recent hits: Sunset Boulevard, & Juliet, Merrily We Roll Along, and many more. If you haven’t seen her work, get your tickets now! But first, check out the article, currently on the homepage at veranda.com!

It was a joy to interview designer and fellow Kentuckian @matthewcarterinteriors about his gorgeous interiors for the new Paddock Building at @keeneland . It truly is one of the prettiest racetracks in the country, and I have such fond memories of going there as a kid with my parents. But don’t take my word for it: Tickets for the Spring Meet are on sale now! Story on the homepage of @verandamag
