Meet RELIC. A small-scale texture with oh so much interest.
This one lived in my sketchbook for a long time — a quick capture of an architectural detail. Some small, beautiful decision made by someone's hands a very long time ago.
More texture than pattern, it carries all the warmth of a working sketchbook — the slightly imperfect line, the suggestion of depth. It doesn't repeat the way a pattern repeats. It settles. It reads like old stone, or aged plaster, or a wall that has absorbed a century of light and is quietly, beautifully offering it back.
Shown in color Shade and also available in Blue and Wheat.
The wallpaper market has never been more crowded — which makes choosing well harder than it should be.
After 16 years of making pattern, these are the things I look for before I'd put anything on a wall I care about. Swipe through — save this for the next time you're considering wallpaper and wondering if you're making the right call.
Interior design: R. Titus Design
It begins like this. Paint and water on paper. Loose and gestural-the unpredictability is the whole@point . The pattern is recognizable from the painting but transformed, scaled up, luminous. 16 years of pattern with a painterly edge.
Briony in color Antique.
Inspired by Turkish sage whose sturdy stems hold little billows of buds in tiers, almost like a candelabra. It's rhythmic and architectural, strong and soft at the same time.
Steeped in the tradition of classic English botanicals, this pattern carries the quiet authority of something that has always existed.

Work in progress. That’s motherhood to me.
Like refining a painting, I keep working away — one brushstroke at a time. Making mistakes, correcting them, learning as I go. I'm working with a new technique I'm learning from @caitlinwinner_studio called archiving where you don't completely paint out corrections. You leave a little bit to show the progression of the piece. Motherhood is hard and wonderful and exhausting and fulfilling… probably every adjective you can throw at it depending on the day. I'm getting better at appreciating those little archived bits that weren't perfect but show the whole picture.
And like painting, sometimes I forget to step back and take in the full picture.
I’m beyond grateful to be a mother to these two and endlessly inspired by so many other mothers who all do it differently, but with the same deep love and devotion.
Today, take a step back and look at the work you’ve done. It’s good.
Thank you to @leekrielphoto for capturing my girls and me and for being a motherhood role model.
Just back from Raleigh with a very clear message.
Green. Brown. And a strong case for terra cotta.
The sample requests don't lie — everyone is reaching for the colors of the natural world right now. Warm, grounded, alive. I'm taking notes.

Adding on...meet DAPPLE grasscloth available in Burnish and Sky. A large scale abstract vine with loads of layers for depth.
There's something mesmerizing about dappled light playing on plaster walls. Dapple captures the softness, light shift and layers on the elevated texture of natural grasscloth. Order samples now.

Meet Dandy.
This one started with a fern and a pinstripe and the feeling that the two belonged together.
The fern is reversed out of a loose watercolor wash — layered and intriguing. There's something so beautiful about negative space to me.
Available in Verdant, Ghostly, Pool, Blush and Navy
