Last week was a proud moment for VicPD as we officially welcomed Class 180 - the largest recruit class in our recent history.
These new recruits are stepping forward to serve the communities of Victoria and Esquimalt with courage, integrity, and commitment, and we could not be more excited to support them as they begin their policing journey!
Policing is about people, relationships, and service to community. Last week marked the beginning of that commitment for each of these future officers.
Please help us congratulate Class 180! We are proud to welcome you to the VicPD family.

Today, on Mother’s Day, we want to recognize and thank all of the moms serving our communities with pride every single day.
Whether working on the front lines, supporting critical operations behind the scenes, or balancing the demands of policing and family life, your dedication does not go unnoticed.
At VicPD, women make up over 50% of our membership. Their leadership, compassion, resilience, and commitment help shape our organization and strengthen the communities we serve.
To all of the mothers working today, and to all of the moms across VicPD and our broader policing family, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and the care you bring both to your work and your families every day.
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at VicPD.❤️
