Hello there! I've gained many new followers here and wanted to share my story...⁠ ⁠ I earned not one but two engineering degrees from Virginia Tech, so naturally, I now run my own creative design studio 😅. Early in my career, I made some daring decisions to follow my heart and find a path that would set my soul on fire.⁠ ⁠ I quit my stable and amazing job and took six months off to teach myself the skills I needed to land a creative job in a completely different market. At the time, I researched how to get unsolicited artwork published and started working immediately with three different greeting card companies, creating content for the social expressions industry. My first greeting card was published in 1999. 🙃⁠ ⁠ Fast forward to today, and my artwork has been licensed on thousands of products sold worldwide. From product ideation through execution, I've also had the honor to create collections featured in retailers across the country.⁠ ⁠ Over the years, I've learned many things about building my own business, including how to balance it with being a mom to two amazing boys, how to continue to grow and change through experimentation and learning opportunities ensuring my work stays relevant, how to forecast trends, how to create work that helps people connect and celebrate important relationships in their own lives, and much more.⁠ ⁠ My work is inspired by my life and experiences, by nature, color, and my own personal relationships. Most of the time, I'm laughing about some completely absurd thing that brings me joy - so you'll often find humor woven into my work as well (lately, it's been centered on parenting because you know...kids).⁠ ⁠ I'm always looking for my next adventure, creative and otherwise, and would love to work with you on your next project. So, if you're looking for a dynamic and versatile creative partner, I'd love to hear from you!⁠ ⁠ I share not only my work here but also inspiration, tutorials, humor, and artwork that celebrates everything.
