Yesterday, towards the end of the day, we had a very enjoyable visit from JOSH HARDY, guitarist and vocalist with THE CHATS @thechatslovebeer and LOOSE LIPS @stay_looselips .
It led to a lively conversation about "humour punk", think Norman Gunston, Flinn, Dave and The Derros etc. and also the country music we all like!
Very entertaining.

Stoked when GABRIEL dropped by with some copies of his @humanflymag_ magazine and posters.
The latest issue #2 is an incredible 44 page full colour production on good paper stock that is absolutely loaded with information about our favourite rock'n'roll heroes like LINK WRAY, (#1 has the CRAMPS), along with snappy articles about the records we like as well as some good coverage of local bands that regularly play those sounds. Production values are high and we have to remember that this really is a labour of love.

An exciting couple of days around here.
The @theblackcrowes were in town and our mate, premier rock photographer @rosshalfin , came in for a visit with CHRIS and RICH ROBINSON.
All three of them are huge music fans and have a particular liking for obscure vinyl releases. We spent a number of hours examining various music styles and chatting about different versions of rare and not so rare records, especially Aussie psych and folk and the output of Lobby Loyde.
An absolute pleasure.
Thanks to you all for making the time to come past and we hope that the rest of the tour is as successful as the shows in Melbourne.

Well we all know that everything that good has to come to an end and Sunday night saw the final show for @frenzee.band during their Hyperactive Australian Summer Tour.
@thelastchancerockandrollbar played host to this event with @hailmaryjaneband and @dogwatchband proving to be as energetic and intense as the headliners.
Everybody went home happy and wanting more.
100 degrees is pretty much what it felt like on Sunday night with the energy that they created in the room.
What's next? Well @frenzee.band should be winging their way to Europe with a host of festival shows lined up and they'll be back later this year for more exciting shows and a brand spanking new LP.
I've seen them a couple of times and not been disappointed with their intensity, attack and sound.
Sincere thanks to @speciesaravidis who I have attended shows with as he's pretty much in their inner sanctum.
Wishing the Apollonia, Antoni and Niko all the best for the road ahead και καλή αντάμωση να έχουμε.

Our mate @theecarlosrocha is visiting from England and dropped by to say hi. He's a big fan of Australian music and likes to keep up with both older and more recent sounds which are new discoveries for him.
Always up for a good chat he was impressed with among other things, @gnome.music debut on @dogmeatrecordsau , the @frenzee.band album and a bunch of old chestnuts including ZOOT.
As we said, Carlos is a big fan of the Australian sound.

On Friday afternoon, the place was jumping!!! So let's liven things up with a Japanese original issue of the SEX PISTOLS "Never Mind The Bollocks" LP which recently made its way to us.
As people in Melbourne, and around Australia for that matter, seem to be fascinated with Japanese issues of classic records we thought we would put this out there as it is the genuine 1977 issue with OBI and insert in really clean condition.
Quite apart from that, it is one of the single most important records in the history of rock music.

It has only taken 48 years but we finally have a worthy testament to the musical abilities of this much talked about, although short lived Melbourne band. "YOUNG CHARLATANS 1978" is is a project that has been put together with loving care and attention. The release on the newly formed Eminent Vinyl Label certainly celebrates the musical output of ROWLAND, @ollieolsenofficial , JANINE (R.I.P. all) and JEFFREY in the best way, with what little recorded material there was available. The excellent liner notes by @clintonjswalker make the story complete.
