In Sri Lanka,
nearly 400 children are born with Clubfoot* every year, despite the prevalence of this condition, many families are not aware of clubfoot treatment options or lack access to healthcare.
*Clubfoot is a birth defect caused by the abnormal development of muscles, tendons and bones, resulting in one or both feet turning inward or downward.*
When treated soon after birth, it can be fully corrected without surgery.
Miracle feet is a non-profit organisation that provides clubfoot treatment to children around the world and
in Sri Lanka, they have set up 8 clinics in partnership with Humanity & Inclusion and The College of Community Physicians in Sri Lanka and have treated more than 2000 children.
371 new cases are reported each year.
This is but a success story of the three sisters after receiving treatment.

Love was surely in the air.
Many families still come together for Picnics,
Like I did with my parents once.
Their kids run about on the smooth cut grass.
Babies lay flat on colorful pieces of sheet, amongst the warmth of their parents rumps,
throwing hands up to the only wonder they see,
the sky.
Girls and Boys walk around, in love, like fireworks.
And they sure knew,
how to kiss.
