🎨New Member Spotlight: @vgallerymi – Omena, Michigan 🎨
In the heart of Omena, a small town with a big creative spirit, stands a building that has witnessed nearly a century and a half of community and craft. Originally opened in 1883 as the A.F. Anderson General Store, this beloved space served the town for decades before finding new life as the Tamarack Craftsman Gallery, founded by Sally and David Viskochil in 1976. For almost 50 years, Tamarack became a cornerstone of the northern Michigan art scene—fueled by the Viskochils’ passion, creativity, and deep sense of community. ❤️
Today, Hillary and Matt Voight proudly carry that legacy forward as the new stewards of the space, now called V Gallery—a name that honors both the Viskochils and the Voights. The gallery continues to celebrate the spirit of northern Michigan art, showcasing the work of exceptionally talented local artists in a warm, welcoming setting.
Next Event: Small Works Group Exhibition November 28 | 3–6 PM
Featuring intimate, small-scale pieces from gallery artists and special guests—perfect for art lovers looking to discover something new.
Stop by V Gallery, explore the beauty of Omena, and experience where art, history, and heart come together. ✨
