Honour tradition, but break free from old patterns, literally and figuratively.
As human beings, we need to move beyond our comfort zones, break patterns, and create new ones, ones that resonate with who we are now.
Visiting Ulassai, the mountain village of Maria Lai, I felt deeply inspired by how she transformed tradition, breaking the boundaries of weaving to create poetic acts of connection and renewal. Her work reminds me that transformation often begins with courage: the courage to honour our ancestors, yet step beyond their patterns.
The Filet di Bosa lace I made is very traditional, yet my process is about translating it into a contemporary vision. This is perhaps the most challenging part, respecting the craft while allowing it to evolve, finding balance between memory and innovation.
Smiling from our guesthouse @resonance_experience 💛
Surrounded by the wall paintings, created in collaboration with @resonance_sound_healing , where colour, sound, and thread meet in harmony.

From fishing nets to lace 🧵
I’m happy to share that I will be teaching a 2-day Filet di Bosa workshop in Brioude, France; a traditional Sardinian technique embroidered on knotted nets.
Over two days, we will explore the structure of the net, learn traditional stitches, and create a personal lace piece, moving between heritage and contemporary making.
📍 Hôtel de la Dentelle (Lace Museum), Brioude
📅 2–3 October 2026

Part of the Grand Couvige de Haute-Loire, an international gathering celebrating lace as a living tradition.
Grateful to the @embroiderersguildukofficial and @embroidery_mag for their support through the scholarship, which allowed me to take a deeper dive into Filet di Bosa at La Foce.
Thank you to @thedesigntrust for supporting and inspiring my path in developing workshops.
And of course, thank you to @hoteldeladentellebrioude for hosting this workshop as part of the Couvige.

✨ The Value of Time in Slow Craft and a New Way to Share It
People often ask me, “How long did it take you?” Well… this piece took me 160 hours. Just time. Just energy. No shortcuts. No machines. Just hands and heart. But this isn’t about numbers. It’s about how we value time.
We live in a world where time has become our rarest currency, where freedom is wealth, and where the act of creating slowly has become radical. Instead of focusing on a single piece, I chose to explore and create multiple smaller pieces, each carrying the same energy and intention. I started dividing the work into smaller sacred parts made to be shared, carried, and worn by many.
That’s why I created my new earrings: “The Eyes of My Collar” inspired by the lace collar and the truth eye. Each one is a fragment of the larger whole, a single eye holding the same care and intention. Together, they become a living mandala, dispersed across bodies and places, yet deeply connected.
Thank you for being part of this time-bound, time-blessed craft.
✨ Just finished my ceremonial necklace using @linhasita yarn and now the earrings are taking shape ✨
This cord holds the energy so beautifully: strong, vibrant, and grounded. Perfect for creating pieces that carry intention.
🌈 Crafted with love, precision, and over 140+ colors to choose from.

Peace in process.
The Space Between is a dialogue between digital print, embroidery, lace, knotting, and netting a search for the place where the visible and invisible begin to meet.
At the moment I’m moving layers back and forward, allowing forms to disappear, reappear, overlap, or dissolve into one another. The process feels almost like textile collage or moulage: listening to how the materials want to speak together.
The pomegranate below feels almost like holding my heart between my hands, a symbol of vulnerability, transformation, life force, and what lives underneath the surface.
A slow process of revealing, concealing, shifting, and becoming.
A heartfelt thank you to the The Embroiderers’ Guild and Embroidery Magazine for supporting this ongoing research and creative journey.

Still feeling inspired after my time at CIMAD 3 ✨
Very grateful for the opportunity to speak, exhibit, and demonstrate around a subject deeply close to my heart:
How do we feel when we create?
Being surrounded by PhD researchers, teachers, artists, philosophers, makers, art, inspiring lectures, and thoughtful poster presentations reminded me how important these gatherings are. When different disciplines come together, we learn from one another, exchange experiences, and create space for new and innovative ways of thinking. 💫
A heartfelt thank you to all the artists, artisans, makers, and psychotherapists who shared their thoughts and experiences in response to the questions used in my talk. Your voices became an important part of this research and presentation 🤍
In this carousel, I’m sharing fragments of my presentation, demonstration, exhibition, and some of the inspiring voices connected to this research.
Also a special thank you to the @mosaiceuproject and to @josephinebassolacroix , inspiring PhD researcher and lacemaker for the beautiful conversations and shared knowledge ✨
Born from fishing nets, shaped by repetition…
Filet di Bosa carries the rhythm of the sea.
This October, I’ll be teaching a 2-day workshop in Brioude, France: part of the Grand Couvige at Hôtel de la Dentelle.
We will work with the grid, learn traditional stitches, and slowly create our own piece.
No experience needed, only curiosity and hands ready to feel.

Come make with me 🤍
Crown of the pomegranate
a quiet form of protest,
held with deep respect for the craft and the hands that came before.
Where techniques don’t stay in their place,
but start to relate,
to transform,
to become.
For the crown, I used a technique called parchment, one I deeply love from my background in passementerie.
A technique rooted in tradition, yet here it becomes something else…
I finished the piece with additional netting and punta rosetta from Filet di Bosa, allowing different textile languages to meet, overlap, and speak to each other.
For me, this is where the magic happens.
Not in preserving tradition as something fixed,
but in letting it breathe.
Somewhere between my hands and the land… a pomegranate is growing ❤️
This one is becoming part of a larger Filet Lace piece
After a winter of turning inward
Stitching my self portrait
Holding my own face in my hands
I now feel ready to grow something new
Through the ritual course I am following
I feel more connected to animism
To the idea that the land
The trees
The materials
All carry spirit
Just outside my window
There is a pomegranate tree
She is still quiet
But I feel her
In embroidery the pomegranate often stands for life and abundance
Built on the net
A foundation planted this winter
Slowly
Something is ripening
There will be beads
Deep reds
Seeds
But for now
This is the beginning ❤️
Sometimes leaving parts open creates more depth.
With Punta Rosetta, a stitch from filet di Bosa with a cross-like structure, I explore that balance.
Working with lace makes me reflect on boundaries,
between opening and closing,
between connection and distance.
It reminds me to stay connected,
while gently holding my own space.
A constant question:
how much do I fill,
and how much do I leave open?
Asking for help can be as sacred as making something with your own hands.
This morning, in the Sardinian spring sun, I was reflecting on how much gardening feels like craft to me.
Both ask for care, patience, and trust.
Both remind us that growth takes time.
For this new large piece, I chose to buy the net instead of making every part from scratch. And somehow, that too, became part of the process. A small but meaningful lesson in allowing support, while protecting the energy of the work.
I still dyed the net by hand, so it carries my touch.
The seeds are planted. Now it is time for the embroidery to grow.
