i run my office like an attention practice — which means the objects in it are doing work. my @vestaboard is one of the most functional things in the room: i put journal prompts on it, lines from books i’m working with, reminders to myself about what actually matters that day. it connects to an app, but the display is entirely mechanical — thousands of physical flaps, a satisfying click when something changes, no screen involved. it’s been on my wall for months and i still stop to read it. that’s the thing about an object that only shows you one thing at a time. #ad @vestaboard
