In the large-scale group project ‘Joy,’ Ukrainian and international artists explore one of the most important emotions that gives us strength in difficult times.
I left thinking about how joy can be so different in wartime: sometimes loud, sometimes barely a whisper, but how it becomes a driving force that unites us, helps us fight, and helps us not to lose our individuality and our thirst for life.
The project aims to remind us of the special moments that make us feel alive and testify to our humanity even in the hardest circumstances, and also to show the global community that today joy is a pillar of Ukrainian society
For me, it wasn’t just inspiring — it was grounding. A quiet reminder that joy can be an act of courage 🤍
