For @saintjeandeli , @ijarchitecture shaped the interior detailing around the same principles that define their baking itself: care, precision, craftsmanship, restraint, and a strong sensitivity to texture.
The oak joinery, rounded edges, and quiet material contrasts carry those values into the space.
Together, they create an atmosphere that feels warm and composed, while allowing the food and the everyday life of the deli to remain the real focus.

Together with @saintjeanbakery across the street, the two spaces form a small ecosystem where baked goods, coffee, lunch, wine, and interior design become part of a daily urban ritual.
Saint-Jean belongs to a specific urban type: the contemporary bakery that is also a café, a deli, a wine stop, and a social condenser for the neighborhood. What makes it distinct is the combination of plant-based baking, specialty coffee, design consciousness, and a very specific Amsterdam atmosphere.

Join us for a one-day immersive workshop exploring photography, material, and composition, hosted by Atelier Cph (Sara Ingemann & Mandy Rep) in collaboration with photographer Marieke Verdenius.
Set within the inspiring surroundings of the design hotel Audo House, this curated experience invites you to slow down, observe closely, and work intuitively across creative disciplines. Throughout the day, we will explore new perspectives on form, texture, and visual composition bridging photography and tactile art making. The workshop
Morning — Seeing
We begin with an exploration of form, material, and pattern, combined with guided photography exercises led by Dutch photographer Marieke Verdenius. These exercises are designed to sharpen your observation skills and deepen your visual awareness.
Afternoon — Making
In the second half of the day, we translate these visual impressions into tactile compositions and art works. Working with carefully selected fabrics, you will create layered pieces that emphasize texture, contrast, and form, guided by the creative founders of Atelier Cph, Mandy Rep and Sara Ingemann.
Set within the atmospheric surroundings of the design hotel Audo House in Copenhagen, this workshop offers a calm and inspiring environment to slow down, observe closely, and engage in a hands-on creative process. Throughout the day, we will provide plenty of coffee, tea, snacks, lunch, and fresh fruit to keep your creativity flowing.

While in Berlin for @thegatherists last weekend, I spent some time with @nora.eisermann to capture her for my The Artist’s Home series.
We moved through her space, talking about her work and the way she paints, quietly observing the light as it changed throughout the early afternoon. Even on a cloudy day, there was a softness that made everything come together.
I love this portait and had to share it already — more to come soon on Nora and her paintings via IG and my journal.
Last Saturday we gathered in Berlin for an edition hosted together with my dear friends Laura and Nora (@_foodstories_@_designtales_ ). At Laura’s sunfilled apartment, stories were shared openly, new connections found their way, and the table slowly filled with a beautiful sense of ease.
And of course, incredible food — like this carrot cake by Nora.

When you enter a space, what do you actually see?
Is it the interior, the objects, the styling —
or do you notice something underneath that?
The lines, the materials, the way light moves through a room.
The structure before it becomes a space.
During Ways of Seeing we take a step back and slow this process down.
We observe — using the camera as a tool to really look.
We translate what we see into simple sketches.
And from there, we build a composition using paper, textiles and material.
A quiet process of looking, understanding and making.
The workshop takes place inside Audo House in Copenhagen —
a space that invites exactly this kind of attention.
We work in a small group, including lunch.
