Something I have come to learn to be true is that grief doesn’t like to be contained or minimized. So this past fall I took my grief to places where it could clamor to a higher power for comfort. I have nothing but immense gratitude for the folks who have opened their homes to me, the homemade meals, the messages and phone calls, and the friends who have cried with me. I’m grateful for the patience of those who continue to make time to listen and provide wisdom while I navigate compounding losses. It’s a privilege to be witnessed in all aspects of life.
Hi, so much has changed, and will continue to, but more on that later. Right now, I’m learning how to be a participant in this social space without losing myself. I simply want to share the work that excites me in ways that feel honest. To quote Mary Oliver, “Instructions for living a life: Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.”
I am still here, preserving these kind of sweet memories so they can continue to live on.

In the present moment, with my newly engaged friends, sharing laughter and stories. It’s rewarding to capture love like this.

Life is delicate and I feel fortunate to have shared it with many of you this year—all because of a camera. Thank you for trusting me to handle your most important moments, days, stories, and visions with care.
Last night I posted a story about how my family’s situation in Puerto Rico is worsening after getting hit by the hurricane, losing power and access to potable water. My inbox was inundated with the kindest messages and many helpful resources. To those who offered monetary donations, I would love to share something in return to express my gratitude. I will be gifting a 5x7 print of this image (taken in PR) for every donation made. My dad needs 24/7 care, and every single dollar will go towards ensuring his basic needs are met while his town rebuilds. Donations can be placed through direct messaging.
