Through each frame, she constructs a world where nostalgia becomes a powerful tool for self-expression and storytelling. The imagery delves into her intimate connection with objects- archival materials, vintage clothing, and personal artifacts- that bear the weight of the past while shaping her present. Her journey unfolds in an early 20th-century château nestled in Finistère, France, aptly named The End of the Earth. The château becomes her sanctuary, a refuge where reality dissolves into a timeless, dreamlike realm. It is here that she finds solace, inspiration, and a “portal” to other identities and eras, blurring the boundaries between self and surroundings. Within the château, she merges with layers of history, family memory, and cultural context, becoming woven into its narrative fabric. Each day, the heroine dresses in her grandmother’s clothes, reviving a forgotten era while creating a new one. Jackets by John Galliano and ESCADA, delicate Blumarine blouses, and Chanel silk scarves conjure the glamour and spirit of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Through these garments, a new time layer emerges within the château, intertwining past and present. Her wardrobe is central to the narrative, transforming fashion into a vessel of memory and imagination. Every piece she wears becomes a fragment of her story, capturing eras, emotions, and moments that transcend time. These garments are both her armor and her art, allowing her to escape while remaining grounded. Set against the ethereal backdrop of the château, the series captures the heroine’s journey of reclaiming identity and finding beauty in the intangible. It invites viewers into her world, where the boundaries between reality and fantasy dissolve, and where the self is revealed through the poetic language of style. #photography #hasselblad #filmphotography #blackandwhitephotography #selfportraitphotography #portra400
