Once again I’m waiting far too long to post any of these photos but I’m incredibly proud of this look so better late than never. When the theme for the DC Drag Awards was “Welcome to the Jungle” I just knew I had to be the only flora among the fauna. It was truly fate, because 1 week after I made this look the actual corpse flower bloomed for me to take in all of her glory!

This Dress and I have a complicated relationship. As one of the first major projects I completed after teaching myself to sew I was so incredibly proud of what I created. To then have it judged so harshly and be told it was ugly and not worthy of the stage left me with tarnished memories. And left this dress in the back of my closet.
