🕙 your ticket is good for dropping in at any time during museum open hours, typically 10 AM to 4 PM, subject to early closure for private rentals

We’ll take an in depth look at the life and career of the beloved children’s book author who led a double life as a writer while supporting her sister’s dream to study art abroad in the great museums and salons of Europe. Wendy and Haley attended today’s @masscultural Berkshire County Grant Celebration, which took place at @norman_rockwell_museum in Stockbridge! A wonderful celebration to acknowledge all of the incredible work in the Arts & Culture sector of Berkshire County. We are deeply grateful for the support of the Massachusetts Cultural Council for the vast array of funding opportunities available, and for supporting Ventfort Hall. I've got two Berkshire ghost events coming up at the end of the month! Strange Fancies at Arrowhead in Pittsfield is a talk about the supernatural influences on the writings of Herman Melville and Nathaniel Hawthorne, followed by a lantern-lit ghost walk of the 18th century farmhouse. This will take place on Friday, May 29. And the ghost tour at Ventfort Hall in Lenox is an immersive storytelling experience in an atmospheric Gilded Age mansion. This one will take place on Saturday, May 30. Each event is unique, each location quite distinct. I hope to see you at one or both!
