Gluten Free Breakfast Pizza 🍳🍕 Yes, we said it - breakfast pizza! We didn’t realise just how genius this idea was until we made it, and now we’re hooked. It’s the perfect dish for entertaining when you’ve got friends or family staying over, easy, delicious, and a little bit impressive. What you’ll need: * 1 packet gluten-free crispy pizza bases * Pizza sauce (we use @batchmade ) * Grated cheese * Spinach, roughly chopped * Bacon, cooked * Hash bites * Eggs * Cherry tomatoes * Hollandaise sauce (we used @culleys ) * Fresh chives Method: 1. Preheat your oven according to the pizza base instructions. 2. Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce over each base. 3. Sprinkle over the chopped spinach and a handful of grated cheese. 4. Add the cooked bacon and hash bites evenly across the pizza. 5. Crack the eggs on top and scatter over the cherry tomatoes. 6. Bake for around 10 minutes, or until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still deliciously runny. 7. Remove from the oven and finish with dollops of hollandaise sauce and a sprinkle of fresh chives. Serve immediately and enjoy—breakfast will never be the same again! ✨

Welcome to the City to Farm project 🌱♻️ Our Founders are proud to work alongside the Hibiscus Coast Zero Carbon Trust to give food waste a second life. Food scraps are collected from local restaurants, cafés, schools, kindergartens, a retirement village, and local food businesses, keeping valuable organic waste out of landfill. The scraps are first fermented using the Bokashi composting method in large wheelie bins stored here on the farm. After around 3 weeks, the fermented scraps are placed into swales beside our banana plants and covered with bark mulch. With the help of worms and time, the scraps break down into rich, living soil that feeds the banana roots naturally 🌿 Our City to Farm system turns urban food waste into nutrient-rich soil to grow healthy crops, which are then sent back to the city - creating a full-circle food system while reducing methane emissions from landfill. Bananas were their first crop of choice because they’re “luxury feeders”, plants that thrive in nutrient-dense soil 🍌 Learn more about what we’re doing at citytofarm.co.nz 🌏

Mother’s Day GF Pesto Eggs 💐🍞🍳🥓 Show Mum just how much she means this Mother’s Day with a simple, heartfelt breakfast. It’s easy, delicious, and perfect for little helpers to join in. You’ll need: * 1 packet of Gluten Freedom sweet potato sourdough bread * Pesto of your choice * Eggs * Fresh chives, finely chopped * Bacon Method: 1. Lightly spread pesto over one slice of sweet potato sourdough. 2. Take a second slice and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the centre. Place this slice on top of the pesto-covered one. 3. Carefully crack an egg into the heart-shaped hole. 4. Place in the air fryer at 160°C for around 8 minutes, along with the cut-out heart pieces—they make perfect egg dippers. 5. Cook until the egg is set to your liking and the bread is golden. Serve warm with crispy bacon on the side and a sprinkle of fresh chives for a finishing touch.

Vietnamese Pork Burgers Gluten-free, dairy-free Serves 4 These are honestly to die for - rich, umami-packed, zingy and fresh, but still so comforting… the kind of burger you devour and feel so good after. And these @venerdi_bread Gluten Freedom Sweet Potato Sourdough Buns?! Like what? You genuinely wouldn’t know they’re gluten-free. No compromise on texture or flavour here people 🙃 Ingredients 4 x @venerdi_bread Gluten Freedom Sweet Potato Sourdough Buns Pork Patties 400g pork mince 2 tbsp fish sauce 2 tbsp lemongrass paste 1/3 cup coriander, finely chopped 2 garlic cloves, crushed 1 spring onion, finely chopped 2 tsp runny honey 1 heaped tbsp mayonnaise 1/2 tsp salt Good grind of black pepper 70g sesame seeds (for coating) Cucumber Pickle 1/2 cucumber, finely sliced 1/3 cup rice vinegar 1 tbsp caster sugar Pinch of salt Slaw 140g cabbage, finely sliced 1 large carrot, julienned 1 spring onion, finely sliced 1 1/2 tbsp lime juice 2 tsp fish sauce 2 tsp caster sugar Chilli Mayo 6 tbsp mayonnaise 2–3 tbsp sriracha sauce 1 tbsp gluten-free soy sauce To serve (optional) Extra coriander leaves Red chilli, finely sliced Method 1. Mix all pork patty ingredients together until well combined. Divide into 4 and shape into patties to fit your buns. Press into sesame seeds so they’re nicely coated. 2. Heat a pan over medium heat and cook patties for 6–8 minutes total, flipping every 1–2 minutes so they cook through without burning the sesame seeds. 3. For the pickle, combine everything in a bowl and let it sit while you prep the rest (it gets better the longer it sits). 4. For the slaw dressing, mix lime juice, fish sauce and sugar in a small bowl until the sugar dissolves. Pour over the cabbage, carrot and spring onion, then toss to combine. 5. Mix chilli mayo ingredients until smooth and adjust spice to your liking. 6. Lightly toast your buns, then build: chilli mayo, pork patty, slaw, cucumber pickle and a little more chilli mayo. Finish with extra coriander and red chilli slices if you like.
