“Ha! We’re all ya need!” 💪 We’re back- and it’s a good one!! @spectre_0ne has absolutely smashed their Wrecker cosplay from the Bad Batch out of the park. It’s so cool to see different interpretations of characters- it’s what makes cosplay so amazing, and we really love this! “In a squad, there’s always someone with heart that holds everything together. For me, that member in Clone Force 99 is Wrecker. The Bad Batch was my first big re-introduction into the Star Wars community. Upon viewing, of course I was drawn to the huge juggernaut of a trooper with a heart of gold and a Mantell Mix addiction. When I looked at him, I saw myself, and I’ve never felt that way about a character before. Wrecker always has a smile on his face and always sees the positive in the situation, and that’s what I admire about him. Bringing him to life was a challenge since I didn’t have all the big fancy equipment to print his full armour (my printer died after the helmet alone). To conquer this, I designed a ‘dressed down’ version to try and emulate Wrecker as the compassionate and benevolant trooper I and so many others love and adore. Despite not looking ‘screen accurate’ as most people expect, he’s received so much love and it’s given me so much confidence to move forward in my cosplay journey.” Ezra this is unreal, congratulations on being featured, you deserve it. “This is Six. Go ahead Two” 🫡 We know several people in our guild are HUGE fans of the Halo games/franchise in general, and it’s so cool to see that one of our own has embarked on the massive journey to create their own Spartan armour. We actually found out this @generalsunbro has a personal connection to this as well, which makes it even better! “After 6 years of wanting to finish this suit it was amazing to finally see the final project. Noble 6 was the costume that got me into cosplay back in 2019, being the reason for why I bought my first printer. The helmet of the armour seen in the photos was the 2nd thing I ever printed. Halo has always been a favourite of mine and finally becoming a spartan was one of my favourite things I’ve done.” Hearing that Blake actually used the specific armour colouring they did because it was the original colour during their first playthrough was so awesome! “It’s up to all of you now. The Force will be with you. Always.” 💚 What a brilliant Ezra Bridger fit by the equally incredible @doc.cosplay_ ! They have created something so lovingly crafted that it’s impossible not to be impressed by the quality of their cosplay. “Ezra is one of my favourite characters in all of Star Wars. I think he has an amazing story arc, he was developed very well and is now one of the most important characters in the Star Wars universe, and I was fourteen when the show was released, just like Ezra in the first season, so it felt like I was watching him grow up as I grew up myself. We are alike in a lot of ways and watching this show finally made me feel seen, and I knew he would be the first Jedi character whose cosplay I would make myself because of this. He is not a character most would pick, at least not his s1/2 variant. Bringing him to life took time and planning, but actually making him took less than a week because I was so passionate about it in a way I’ve never been about a cosplay before (except for my next Rebels cosplay, but that’s a surprise 🤫). Making Ezra also gave me the confidence to make other cosplays, such as my Cal Kestis and Omega and soon, my Hiccup. It helped me make friends, some of whom are the best friends I’ve ever had, and I feel part of a community now thanks to Ezra.” Speaking of community, we’re so proud to have such a wonderful, caring and kind individual as part of ours. Check out this beautiful cosplay, crafted with SO much care and attention, and including so much detail, it’s brilliant! “Padmé/Queen Amidala is such a central character in Star Wars. She is courageous and headstrong, and in my opinion, underappreciated. I particularly enjoy the political story lines in the Prequels, which she is a big part of. As someone who grew up in the 00s, I just remember thinking that her iconic Queen Amidala looks were so cool! I was always fascinated by her wardrobe - the attention to detail and cultural references are incredible. They’re a challenge to make, but I have learned so many different skills and techniques by making her costumes. I think it is a well-known fact that most Padmé cosplayers end up doing lots of her looks, as it’s too hard to pick a favourite! “Upgrades people, upgrades!” 🛠️ This close to MCM, it’s almost expected that people are con crunching their way through the week, putting the finishing touches on carefully crafted cosplays! @notforlackoftrying has been lovingly working at this armour WIP since last year, and it’s so gratifying to see how it’s progressed, including the painting of a new helmet! “I’ve been back in a world of yellow and purple for the last few weeks getting ready for MCM - I’ve repainted all of the guns and knives I’ve been hoarding for my Beastie, and made several new pieces of armour for this version, including a brand new helmet from @miles.prints that my glasses can fit under so I can see things this time!! This is the first time in a while where I’ve been careful to plan properly ahead of time so the spray paint has had enough time to cure, before con packing has to begin in earnest, I’ve still a few things to sort last minute still, as usual!” We absolutely love the vibrancy of the colours, and the whole design of the armour, and we’re so excited to see it make a splash this weekend!
