THE EPITOME OF SEXY @h_lang_
If you talk to industry people from my generation about who’s influenced them the most you’d get a very particular list of suspects. Usually it’s John Galliano (the dream and the fantasy), Yves Saint Laurent (the elegance, the exoticism), less so Karl Lagerfeld (the grandeuse) or Martin Margiela (the mystery).
To me that’s always been Helmut Lang. The clarity of his work, the structure, the urgency and of course the inevitable sense of sexiness in everything that he did. Watching his runway shows (on TV, mind you) ignited sensual awakening. You either wanted to be one of those stark-looking people or you wanted to sleep with them. Wearing his clothes felt like a lottery win (thanks to @endyma & @byronesquevintage I’ve got to get me some). Seeing his archives, a baptism.
More than 20 years later Lang’s work has gotten the same effect on me. Breath-taking, magical and so unapologetically good. The show at @mak_vienna is a a kind reminder of the man’s greatness.

FINALEMENT I FEEL SEEN
Jokes aside, that is one great sensual (and sexual) show by the most elegant man in Paris, Mr Ackermann @h.a for @tomford@vogue_ukraine
