Here's a sneak peek behind the scenes of our process... From a bird's eye view, our clients will usually provide a creative deck (if they are working with an agency) or will ask us to create one. This then becomes the blueprint for the entire project, which everyone can reference. It usually starts as a rather large picture, but it gives us an idea of scope, how much time it will need, the amount of crew, and so on. Then, we use it guide ourselves as we get into the nitty gritty! What else do you want to know about working with Velocity Creatives?

One of the best feelings with the work that we do is seeing it get incredible press and recognition, especially when it highlights an admirable cause! As an example, we've worked with Aura Frames on their Ethiopian clean water initiative through an amazing video. It's always an honor to bring your vision to life and even more so when our values align with your mission. @armaanvirani

Did you know that there are usually WEEKS of preparation before the day of your shoot? We then dedicate an additional 2-4 days before the shoot to work with department heads to collaborate on scheduling, equipment, locations, wardrobe, and more! If you're looking for quality video, we'd love to support you. Get in touch to learn more about working with us! @conradkochek

Trust us when we say video is where it's at. Design trends and social media trends may change, but science doesn't. According to @hubspot , consumers watch 1.5 hours of online video per day! That means from tutorials to heartfelt pieces, your brand could be at the forefront of your customers' minds. Remember, there's a reason every Superbowl ad you've ever seen is a video and not a 30-second still... yet it still makes an incredible impact and lasting impression! @sam_b_photo

EVERY organization should get professional brand videography done at some point in their business journey. The reality is that marketers aren’t the only ones using video in their roles. Video is used widely across all departments, including sales, administration and operations, human resources, leadership and management, product management, customer support, and even finance and accounting. Think of all the ways branded video could be used internally and externally for your organization and how you would benefit from it! @chloecamera

We chatted with @abigaildorotheasearls about all things wardrobe, which are so important for any production! Take a look at the Q&A session below. Q: What is your process for sourcing wardrobe? A: First and foremost I like to understand the vision and figure out how to make the wardrobe tell that story in a unique way. I really like to incorporate a lot of vintage, because it’s so versatile and tells a story on its own. I like to modernize it, give the wardrobe a new spin. I have an amazing friend Kim Sewald who owns the dreamiest vintage store and she has often just let me pull from her collection. (@wearitagainsams ) Once I have my vintage pieces pulled, I like to look over current and future trends and I’ll add modernizing touches from affordable places like Zara or Nordstrom Rack. Every job is so different, so the way I source can vary, but that seems to be kind of my signature move. Q: Why is wardrobe important for videos? A: Wardrobe is the unspoken story, it develops characters and the plot in a way that is visually appealing. It takes the vision to the next level. I just love everything about it and I think clients and the audience find a certain charm that helps elevate the ultimate vision. Q: For Common Questions, what were some favorite pieces? What inspired them? A: I found a bunch of really cool vintage jackets and tulle tops from Wear It Again Sam’s and an online Etsy shop. I think Jessica the director, Aish the artist, and I just looked at them individually and saw such a life in them. Then we kind of pieced the looks together from there. The inspiration came from a place of true diversity and inclusion, sparking joy in the flamboyance. Q: What inspires you most about your job, and fashion in general? A: Wardrobe is my life, I love it so so much. We can create the story, a person, based solely upon what they are wearing. I don’t totally believe in trends, but I like to look at them as guidance. Really I think what I love about wardrobe and fashion is that no rules apply, I get to have fun with it and show people some unexpected ideas. It’s just the absolute best! We are so grateful to be able to collaborate with Abigail and her expertise!
