When I first started this page in October 2020 I never could have imagined the amazing opportunities it would bring me or some of the incredible people I would meet.
About Me:
My real name is Lee (no, it’s not short for anything) and I’ve been vegetarian since 2020. People often ask me why I decided to go vegetarian and the simple answer is that I just stopped enjoying eating meat.
I’m cheese obsessed. All cheese, any cheese. Give me that great big cheese pull, massive cheese board or plastic cheese strings; I’ll eat it all.
I’m also dog obsessed and always have to stop and say hello to a happy puppy trotting along 🐶

I’m not sure what to tell you about the newly opened @thecottageedinburgh other than wow!
Every course was sensational and so much thought and care has gone in to creating their first menu. I definitely did not feel I was missing out on anything with their vegetarian menu. So many amazing seasonal ingredients and flavours.
@margieatsedinburgh and I opted for the 7 course tasting menu along with paired wines and everything complimented each other. The team were fantastic at talking us through each dish and the paired wine.
There’s a pre-theatre menu available too. Perfect for a meal before visiting @edinplayhouse 💜

The Patron Sunday brunch from @the_basement_ed is here!
Their brunch is available every Sunday and they have some great vegetarian options including Desayuno Tacos and Refried Bean Breakfast Burrito.
There’s also a special brunch patron cocktail menu to go with your food and they’re delicious! I loved the Bloody Maria which is vegan and such a great twist on a Bloody Mary.

The new Sunday Roast menu from @tuktukstreetuk is here and it’s so good!
They have a vegetarian paneer option available (I didn’t see a vegan option) and it’s massive. It comes with two big blocks of paneer, lots of sides and delicious sauce for pouring.
I love this switch up from a traditional Sunday Roast 💜

The loveliest evening in @decanter_bruntsfield@margieatsedinburgh and I visited Decanter recently for one of the nicest evenings I’ve had in a long time.
We started with a private wine tasting with Johnny sampling their “Reign of Terror” range. Johnny was absolutely amazing and talked us through each one, the notes and where they come from. We also had one of their cheeseboards to pair which was so good and the perfect size for two people.
Then it was back upstairs to the main bar for some mains. I went for a new dish on their menu which was this delicious roasted red pepper and sundried tomato orzo topped with a whole creamy burrata.
To finish the evening I had one of their in house cocktails. Their pistachio White Russian was absolutely the perfect end to this gorgeous evening.
And of course Terror was on site making sure everything was in order 💜

@sabzi.streetfood have launched their new monthly menus and I love it. The new monthly menus are bigger, have more choice and they’ll still include some old favourites as well as amazing new dishes
