VEGAROLLA.
As you all know I’ve been pestering you on my IG stories with my phone fidget spinner that magically makes cameras roll 360° for all you camera spin junkies.
I designed this tool with the purpose to have an ‘AR Roll Station’ ready for your DOP to comfortably perform in-camera rolls with fine control speed ratios or classic 1:1 direct speed for those high action rolling shots. As seen on some of the slides you can set a monitor, Wireless receiver and various other accessories via the use of the 3/8 & 1/4 bores around the base - which is also able to mount on a tripod or simply placing it on a level surface will do the job.
VEGAROLLA comes with in-built spirit levels and laser markings to reference 90° & 360° (true level) to assist the user when performing rolls. Each unit comes with ‘Push-in Pins’ which guarantees camera rolls to land accurately at these angles.
Partnering up with Rob
@rexywheels allowed for the VEGAROLLA to become fully nodal across both handwheels whilst maintaining the option of two different speeds. This also meant that operators who already own a set of Rexy wheels are well on their way to owning their very own VEGAROLLA unit!

I’m officially announcing that I’ve finished this project and have some units available to operators. This whole process has been very eye opening in understanding the stages our kit goes through, while it’s not my main focus to engineer and design a product it’s been a very fun and at times stressful experience, all worth it when seeing the final outcome.
