NIEUW – Benjamin Herman presenteert de zevende editie van het EUROPEAN ALTO FESTIVAL met een ode aan de altsax, aanstormend talent en de Rotterdamse legende op sax Piet Noordijk!
Herman neemt twee jonge, persoonlijke favoriete saxofonisten mee: de Spaanse Irene Reig en de Schotse Rachael Cohen. Samen laten zij de rijke klank en expressieve kracht van de altsaxofoontraditie horen. Ze worden begeleid door een ijzersterke ritmesectie met Miguel Rodriguez op piano, Veerle van der Wal op contrabas en Alexia Harpa op drums.

As we come closer to the end of 2025, I wanted to take a moment and reflect on one of my musical highlights of the year.
It was a huge honour to present our music at the Rough Diamonds Series back in May, at the Bimhuis. A truly special experience that makes all the hard work, frustration and tough times worth it.
It was also really special to share this with my band mates and great friends @veerlevdwal and @aviv.maya , and thanks to them for bringing my music to life.
This piece is called Nostalgia and it’s about that sense of simplicity we have as children, when life feels easy and carefree, and how good it was to be naïve.

Turned 20 today! Enjoying life every day with the most beautiful things and the nicest people around💝💝💝Can’t be more grateful for all the stuff that has already happened and can’t wait for what’s to come. Are we lucky or what?!
