De alguna manera, han pasado 9 semanas desde el día más oscuro de mi vida. Seguimos aquí aunque siento que mi mundo paró, contando los días que nos faltan para volver a estar con él.
Este collage es para mi papi, a quien extraño con todo mi ser.

Thank you to Sam for this photojournalism assignment and Cody for his time with these portraits!
After an insanely fast-paced day shooting fisheye portraits in a Las Vegas Penthouse, Team Tigre hopped into an uber and rode across town to find ourselves in a black tie hotel lobby with people heading out to Latin Grammy events. After riding up the elevator to the hotel suite where we were to meet Mon Laferte’s team, we walked into a room of about 30 chatting people, some doing quick interviews for social media with other artists, things scattered everywhere. The second I walked in I started scanning each wall, each couch, and it felt like nothing had a spot I would want to take Mon’s portrait. What would she be wearing? I knew she would look fantastic, but would it match this room I had 0 prep for? We had give or take 45 seconds for portraits, and once she walked out in a suit the perfect shade of brown with her blonde hair and I saw her against the backdrop of a curtain, I locked in. She was SO kind and made those 45 seconds feel like 5 minutes, and even sang a cappella for her interview which got every single person in the room to drop what they were doing and listen. Very thankful for these days and the stories I get to help share.
Gracias, Mon 💛
I look at the first image and all I can think is “beam me up, Scotty!”
This song was playing when I took photos 2 and 6. It was such a moment dancing with @martinahoyos and @vanesssa_diaz_ as the Despacio disco ball lit up.
