it's hard to pinpoint the origin of the magic on this one - it was simultaneously lightning in a bottle and the familiar warmth of kinship. the true dream team. thank you all for the most magical moments, laughing tears, and incredibly hard work. thank you for your trust and kindness. what a privilege to work alongside every single member of this organization. and, it really does come from the top down. every single member of this band and crew is somehow both a consummate professional and the funnest, most interesting person at the party. love y'all so very much. 💖

When you go to a live show these days, you expect to see a spectacle — an artistic production that will blow you away. Behind the scenes, there’s one person responsible for bringing this production to life — the production manager. Today we join with WNXP’s Music Citizens podcast to go behind the scenes with Nashville-based production manager, Tori Butash. As a “lady soundguy,” Tori worked her way up doing sound for Rob Thomas, Imagine Dragons and other bands including Sylvan Esso. It was Sylvan Esso who realized Tori was highly organized, a good communicator and, most importantly, a good hang — the perfect ingredients for a production manager. Listen live today at noon on 90.3 @wpln .

Meet Tori Butash, The Wrangler. In Episode 4 of Music Citizens, we learn about the Nashville-based production manager and how she went from running sound for her dad’s band in Akron to working for bands like @sylvanesso and @wilco . This episode breaks down what it takes to lead a crew, how touring has changed post-pandemic and why being a good hang is just as important as being highly organized. Listen wherever you get your podcasts. Music Citizens is supported in part by the @tnartscommission , @metroartsnash ’s Thrive, and the @first_horizon Foundation.

as a wise man once said, "never made it as a wise man." and also, don't fall down the wet stairs after the canceled show load-out. see last slide for inspo.
