Set on a family farm in the 1930s, this quietly powerful mid-century opera speaks across generations, exploring timeless questions of hope, belonging, and the choices that shape our lives. Copland’s unmistakable “American sound,” spare, lyrical, and deeply expressive, underscores a story that is at once intimate and universal.
