This past Monday May 4th that same principal in a meeting asked the mother of this 12-year-old black girl, "What would you like to see happen?"

Dear Balboa Middle School principal, we are going to explain to you exactly what your job is in regards to our black kids safety at the May 12th VUSD Board Meeting.
Tonight was special, our Founder/Director (Dexter) received the "Community Champion & Transformation Award" for our work.
It was special not because of an award but receiving it from the young people (Moorpark College Black Student Union) @blackstudentunionmc
That means they trust us. We honor them, respect them, provide opportunities for them and most of all, we fight for them.
The best award by far.
This Thursday, May 7th we continue the fight. As a major supporter of the Black community in Ventura County, PROJECT50 can't allow certain things to take place.
This case is bigger than one black man, it's the Ventura County system testing the unity of the Black community.
The cost of living is high and so are services, but we have been providing free services to the black community since we started.

Feel free to share if you care.
Don't be fooled by performative things, we have the solution. Join us on May 18th to be a part of the change.
