Meet Glacier! Glacier was transferred to us from another shelter in hopes of finding his forever home. This sweet bunny is gentle, does great for handling, and sits so nicely for brushing and fur trims. His unique fur will need regular grooming to keep it healthy, but thankfully he makes it easy with his calm personality.
Glacier may look a little rough around the edges, but he is such a good and loving rabbit who is ready to be spoiled with fresh veggies, fun toys, and lots of attention. We think he would do best in a home with older children who will respect his boundaries. Glacier has also received extra medical care while with us, and our staff would be happy to answer any questions about his needs.

mocha’s first beach buddies day! @vbspca
today i got to take sweet mocha out for his very first vbspca beach buddies adventure, and he was seriously the cutest little date!!
vbspca makes it super easy too — they provide the leash, harness, and a backpack with essentials like bags and a water bowl, so all you really have to do is show up ready to have a fun day!
we went to croatan first, where mocha got to explore, take in all the beach smells, drink some water, and enjoy a treat. then we headed over to redwing park, where he watched the squirrels like it was his full-time job and, of course, had another treat.
he’s almost 4, super sweet, cuddly, and such a cute little explorer. i can’t believe he hasn’t found his person yet 🥹

Meet Salem 🖤
This handsome house panther is ready to find his forever home where he can truly be king of the castle. After leaving outdoor life behind, Salem has discovered just how good indoor living can be. Salem is a cat who likes things on his own terms and can get overstimulated quickly, so he’s looking for a patient family who understands his quirks and will give him the space he needs to feel safe and comfortable. Boxes, hidey huts, and plenty of toys are the way to this boy’s heart.
Because Salem can be nervous at times and hasn’t been around children before, we think he would do best with older children who respect boundaries or in an adult only home. Salem wants to love people, he just needs someone willing to help him figure out what that looks like.

Meet Skipper! This silly boy is full of love and kisses. Skipper came to us after his owner’s health declined and they could no longer care for him. He was deeply loved by his family and arrived at the VBSPCA through no fault of his own.
Skipper would do best as the only dog in the home since he can be a little unsure around other dogs. With time, patience, and training, he could continue building confidence and learning positive interactions. He has never lived with children, so kids 10 and up will be required in his future home.
What Skipper lacks in confidence with dogs he makes up for with people. He absolutely adores attention, cuddles, and giving endless kisses to everyone he meets. Meet Winnie!
This sweet little guinea pig is ready to find her perfect retirement home! As the oldest guinea pig in our care, Winnie has completely stolen our hearts with her adorable personality and love for treats. She’ll happily “wheek” the moment she hears a crinkling plastic bag coming her way!
Winnie would love a calm home where she can relax, snack on fresh fruits and veggies, and be spoiled rotten. She previously had surgery to remove a mammary mass, which does add an additional cost to her adoption. Our cattery staff would be happy to answer any questions.

Tom is social, goofy, and loves carrying plush toys around wherever he goes. He’s done well with other dogs but will need to meet any resident pups before adoption. Because Tom can be a little loud when he gets excited, he’ll need a home without shared walls. Children in the home must also be over 6 years old.
