Das Gestaltungskonzept verbindet urbanes Wohnen mit hochwertigen Freiräumen und schafft eine ausgewogene Beziehung zwischen öffentlichem Raum, gemeinschaftlichen Bereichen und privaten Rückzugsorten. Ein lebendiges Erdgeschoss öffnet sich zur Stadt, während dahinter ein ruhiger, geschützter Innenhof als grünes Herz der Anlage entsteht. Dieser halbprivate Freiraum bietet Gemeinschaftsgärten und Aufenthaltsbereiche, die Begegnung und Austausch fördern und zugleich Abstand zum Straßenraum schaffen. Private Gärten an Maisonette-Wohnungen ergänzen die Außenräume und ermöglichen individuelle Nutzung am Wohnraum.
Auch die Dachflächen werden als vielfältige Freiräume genutzt: Neben privaten Terrassen entstehen gemeinschaftliche Dachgärten als zusätzliche Grünflächen und Orte der Erholung. Durch die klare Zonierung der Freiräume entsteht ein vielschichtiges System, das soziale Interaktion sowie Ruhe und Privatheit ermöglicht und die Wohnqualität nachhaltig steigert.

4TH PRIZE IN THE ‘FLORENC21: PHASE WEST - BUILDING SITE B02 IN PRAGUE’ COMPETITION!
The design concept combines urban living with high-quality open spaces and creates a balanced relationship between public space, communal areas and private retreats. A lively ground floor opens up to the city, while behind it a quiet, sheltered courtyard forms the green heart of the complex. This semi-private open space offers communal gardens and lounge areas that encourage interaction and exchange while creating distance from the street. Private gardens attached to the maisonette flats complement the outdoor spaces and allow for individual use of the living space. The roof areas are also used as versatile open spaces: in addition to private terraces, communal roof gardens are created as additional green spaces and places of relaxation. The clear zoning of public, communal and private open spaces creates a multi-layered system that facilitates social interaction as well as tranquillity and privacy, and sustainably enhances the quality of living.

The Florenc Residential Block 02 competition proposal addresses a key component of the regeneration of a long-neglected brownfield site in central Prague. Rooted in the historic residential block typology, the project is designed to create a diverse, human-centred neighbourhood that integrates seamlessly with its historic context.
The courtyard, as the heart of the block, provides residents with a tranquil, semi-private garden space. The vegetation contributes to a pleasant microclimate and continues up the vertical walls, occupying the threshold between the built environment and nature. This garden fosters community life and interaction among residents while providing high-quality outdoor areas sheltered from street noise.

Particular attention is given to the interface with the public realm. The proposal establishes a coherent repertoire of treatments for retail frontages, entrances, and the transition from the ‘piano terra’ to the upper residential floors, providing clear programmatic legibility.

Communal courtyards, rooftops, and active ground floors foster social interaction, biodiversity, and a vibrant public realm. As part of the Florenc 21 development, Block 2 reclaims central urban land for meaningful, permanent living, offering a resilient and inclusive model for sustainable urban regeneration.
The block establishes a coherent urban structure that reflects the principles of an organically grown city, where scale, form, and spatial relationships evolve naturally from historical patterns and context.

This is Warp: Warp couples minimalist simplicity with sensual curves give the design its own aesthetic, which can be described as sensual minimalism. Vertical inlays of metallic surfaces incorporated into the surface emphasize the moving, iridescent expression of the dancing form with their shiny surfaces. Soft, flowing movements create a moment of playful lightness.

This is Stage: With the impression of a textile flowing fabric, for example a stage curtain, Stage stages the plasticity of solid surface material in a curved drape. Like a vertical pilaster strip, the curves are continued into the countertop made of natural stone. The wave form is transferred from one material to the next and is thus reminiscent of baroque stylizations, which are echoed here in a contemporary formal language.

This is Prisma: The slightly inclined pyramidal cantilevered surfaces of Prisma create a sculptural plasticity. A rhythmic play of light and shadow is created on the surface. In the duotonal version, ceramic plates are embedded in the prismatic surfaces and then framed by white solid surface strips. Fine detailing in the material transitions testify to precise craftsmanship and lend the counter a special quality.

This is Mountain: It has an interplay of the folded solid surface material with large-format ceramic tiles that creates an expressive, yet natural-looking material contrast. Along a polygonally cut contour, the surfaces of the sintered stone shine out. Memories of scenic formations are evoked. Mountain landscapes, crevasses and geological phenomena resonate in this composition of smooth white cast stone and tactilely textured ceramic. Back to nature.

This is Flow: Fluid S-curves testify to formal continuity and timeless elegance. The duo-tone concept of black and white solid surface creates a graphically expressive contrast. At the same time, these raised and receding surfaces balance the design and evoke a sense of balanced proportion. Atmospherically, the effect is similar to a flowing body of water or the cresting of waves in nature.

This week again we show you Cube. Another design line of the modular desk system miru® that we have developed it together with @rosskopfundpartnerag .
The cubist form is characterized by reduced simplicity and planar abstraction. The base area recedes slightly behind the crown area cantilevering above it. This sculptural shift is underlined by a darker colored base area. An all-rounder that blends in and retreats, although it develops a confident presence.
