Vater is excited to now offer Dom Famularo’s highly sought-after Pad Stick as an official part of the Vater product line, available worldwide. Dom modeled the design of his Pad Stick after a vintage stick model he used while studying with the legendary Joe Morello decades ago.
Constructed from Sugar Maple with a 0.675" grip size and 16 3/8" length, it has a drastic taper and finishes with a large ball-shaped tip that produces an articulate sound on a pad. The combination of grip size, length, taper, and tip shape makes Dom’s Pad Stick very responsive.
Over the years, Dom’s Pad Stick has been a very helpful tool for his students around the world, and of all skill levels, while working on hand and grip technique, rudiments, stick strokes, and warm-up exercises.
Dom not only used the Pad Stick for his renowned teaching practices, but also to strengthen and stretch his own hands while keeping his chops up.
