@vasukired is a Galway based, Leitrim raised DJ/Producer.
Only a little over a year in the scene, and she has already made huge waves in the Galway Scene. She also played her first international headline set at Pigeon Fest earlier this year.
Vasuki Red is very passionate about brining the community together, and finds this to be the most important factor of her music career. “I find music is one of the best ways to bring people together, and unite as one. Music is a universal language we all understand. Regardless of background, beliefs, or identity. When we’re all on the dance floor, moving to the same beat, those differences dissapear. That moment of connection is what I do it all for.” Through her sets, Vasuki Red aims to create a safe, inclusive, and energetic space where people can lose themselves in the music and find each other in the process.
Regardless of the male dominated field, she is passionate to inspire, encourage and support more female/queer/FLINTA artists and DJs to the scene.
She is apart of many different collectives in Galway and has recently started her very own series “Red.Line”. It is aimed towards those in need with every event supporting a different charity.
With a passion for music from a young age.
Experimenting in all sorts of genres, from indie rock, folk and rock. She was always a fan of techno and electronic music, but it wasn’t until she moved to Galway, that her passion was reignited.
Never sticking to one genre,
No set is ever the same,
She mixes Bass, Breakbeat, UKG, DnB and Groove to create one unified sound.
As she grows as an artist, Vasuki Red is getting more into music production, working on original tracks that blend her wide range of influences. With some releases on the way, she’s been experimenting with sound design which she hopes to bring to her sets very soon.
Things are only starting for Vasuki Red, with countless shows ahead of her, new music on the horizon, and a growing community behind her.
