Still pinching myself after an unforgettable night and the honor of meeting one of my true chef heroes — the incredible @tylerflorence . So grateful for the chance to chat with him and experience @millerandlux , his modern American steakhouse that continues to set the standard, named Best of the Bay three years running and one of the top steakhouses in the country. Tonight was all about the Japanese Wagyu experience, the absolute gold standard of beef. This Japanese A5 Wagyu Kebab , cooked over charcoal and served tableside, was pure magic — paper-thin, impossibly tender, perfectly charred. They call it “snowflake beef,” and I understand why. One bite and it literally melted on my tongue — rich, refined, intoxicating. Treat yourself to this once-in-a-lifetime indulgence available until December 31st. AND don’t miss the ultimate Wagyu face-off — follow @wagyuofjapan for the 2025 showdown. #JapaneseWagyu #thegoldstandard

🎉 Happy New Year! 🎉 As we step into this new year, let’s celebrate the incredible journey we’ve shared and look forward to the exciting path ahead. Small business is more than commerce—it’s a universal language that connects us across cultures, continents, and life stories. In this globally connected world, now’s the time to embrace our cultural diversity and highlight what brings us together. Whether it’s a corner café in San Francisco or a family shop halfway across the globe, small businesses reflect our passions, traditions, and personal stories. This year, I invite you to join me on an expanded adventure. Together, we’ll spotlight the small businesses that make SF special and explore the vibrant tapestry of small businesses around the world. 🌍 Let’s celebrate what binds us together—our creativity, resilience, and shared humanity. Here’s to unity, connection, and the incredible spirit of small business. Let’s make 2025 a year of growth and global celebration! 💫

San Francisco has a thriving small businesses community , and I’ll show you why! I’m Vas Kiniris, I’m a small business advocate and was long time business owner in the lower Fillmore area. Come with me as I share what I love about this special part of San Francisco, where the Fillmore Street and SF Japantown meet—one of the most diverse crossroads in the city! Starting with Japantown, the oldest and largest Japantown in the U.S., it’s a vibrant hub of culture and history. Next, we have the lower Fillmore, often called the Harlem of the West—an area rich in jazz history and the birthplace of the Summer of Love at The Fillmore! And finally, there’s upper Fillmore and Pacific Heights, where you’ll find beautiful shopping, stunning original Victorians, and spectacular views from Alta Vista Park. Come visit San Francisco and see it for yourself. There’s so much to love here! Thank you San Francisco Travel Association for the opportunity to showcase what I love about San Francisco ❤️💯!

When I sat down with @mastihaman Dimitrios Florakis , I quickly realized @sidofragrances is more than a perfume brand — it’s a love letter to his Greek heritage. He’s not simply creating perfume — he’s preserving heritage through scent. Through mastiha, the rare resin known as Chios’s sacred “liquid gold,” Dimitri honors generations of Greek memory, both timeless and modern. His connection to Chios through his grandmother, his family’s history in fragrance, and his devotion to storytelling make SIDO feel deeply personal and authentic. It’s inspiring to see such an iconic part of Greek culture transformed into soulful, refined fragrance for a new generation.

You’ve probably heard about the famous mulberries of Brentwood, but meeting Anil, founder of @verymulberry by Habitera Farms , made this story unforgettable. Growing up in Delhi, India, Anil cherished the mulberry trees in his community — a childhood memory that inspired him to recreate that experience here in California. Today, Habitera Farms spans 84 acres with over 11,000 Himalayan mulberry trees, making it the largest U-pick mulberry farm in the world. These rare berries are incredibly sweet, packed with nutrition, and too delicate for commercial markets, making this a truly special experience. Mulberry season ends in early June, so plan your visit before it’s gone!

Always grateful to be in rooms that celebrate the heart of San Francisco—our small business community 🌉✨ Thank you to the @sf_chamber ❤️ Last week’s off #SFSBW at the Opening Ceremony at St. Joseph’s Art Society was a powerful reminder that small business is big business. San Francisco is home to approximately 95,000 businesses, with nearly half considered small businesses employing 10 people or fewer—and together, they employ nearly 400,000 people across our city. Even more inspiring? Roughly half of those small businesses are immigrant-owned, reminding us that San Francisco’s entrepreneurial spirit has always been shaped by global dreams, hard work, and resilience 🌍
