A letter from a fan....
It was my great fortune that I could work on a film that has made people think, question our education system, get people talking, in a time where in the garb of kid’s film the censor board are letting watch films like Barbie on big screen which has more sexual innuendos than should be allowed. OMG 2 should be watched & advertised as a must watch for teenage kids.
It’s one thing to take up a subject as complicated as sex education but to do justice to it, mould it into piece of art, add to it you are taking up a successful franchise like OMG & it’s your first big commercial film - the stakes are high, the pressure even more so. But that’s the genius of the man - "Amit Rai"
His fabulous story-telling skills , his craft, his penchant for satirical comedy, his brilliant writing, his genius touches to elevate a scene to a next level - is brilliant to witness from such close quarters. A case in point,(while we were doing prepping) he came up with a master stroke…whenever we see Lord Shiva’s Character on screen, we should have Nandi bail. As Lord Shiva exits, Nandi will exit frame.
But the initial response was a big NO
We can’t get Nandi Bail as that would lead to getting animal permissions,
Also getting Nandi Bail on shoot would be a hassle to handle on shoot
But the man put his foot down & stuck to his gun, and hasn’t that turned out to be game changer!!! …the whole world is raving about his genius.

On a personal front
Sir-thank you for making me a part of your beautiful journey. The memories of this film will stay with me forever, it has taught me a lot & now when I see the final film, I am filled with immense pride & joy and no matter what I achieve in life OMG 2 will hold a special place in my heart.

OMG 2 - A story that needs to be heard!!!
In an era where kids are spending more time on the internet then playground,
In a world, where playing with your best friend has been replaced by swiping content on the net,
In times where virtual word seems to be the reality where kids are engrossed,
The rapid pace at which kids are getting exposed to sex videos & porn.
OMG 2 could not have come at a better time
A film that is thought for, written for & made for kids has got an A certificate
Talk about irony!!!
On the face of it,OMG 2 might look like a film which is only talking about sex education but if you dive deep into it, one would realise it talks about our rich Hindu education system - the Gurukul System. The film tells you to explore our rich & vast Hindu literature, why it is regarded as the best education system, as it results in the overall development of a kid. If even few of the viewers go back to our Hindu literature, start digging & enlighten themselves, we would realise why was Bharat called "Sone ki Chidiya" & why it attracted outsiders.
I hope it ignites the necessary fire in the education system & results in some important reforms: leads to the necessary discussions between parents & their teenage kid which have been missing, educates kids on the the topic that has been hushed under the carpet & overall, be remembered for generations to come for making the right kind of noise.
OMG 2 - is a film that is worthy of your time, worthy of your expensive multiplex ticket. But most importantly OMG 2 is a film that will stay with you after you have left the theatre.
