The street that I once hoped to be mine.
Now I just hope it continues existing with all its people, dogs, cats, olive trees, dusty cars, grocery and no-customer-ever antique stores, hairdressers drying towels outside, leaking ACs, leftover street phones, fresh snails in net sacks, plastic chairs, generators, garbage, bananas hanging like chandeliers, balconies and striped curtains, saints, sunburnt shop signs, street vendors selling kerosene and collecting scrap metal, water tanks, and the sun.
