Leon and I went on an adventure, through where I stayed on Erasmus; Idar oberstein (Germany) and where Leon did his erasmus; Linz(Austria) to reach Ljubiana, Slovenia where some good friends live

A week has passed since the first event curated by DiY Kollektiv, which took place in the Sala del Camino space of Bevilacqua la Masa.
Artiom Constantinov, Vincent Boon and Esmail Banoe performed live throughout the event, accompanied by unreleased tracks composed by Francesco Fonassi.
The live performance, part of the L'HABITAT DI DOMANI: CreArt 3.0 together exhibition, complemented Alessandro Sciaraffa's solo exhibition, The Flowers of Mars.
The event inaugurates a series of workshops aiming to introduce visual and sound programming languages to student-artists, creating a community where knowledge and teachings circulate freely.
We would like to thank everyone who supported our initiative by taking part in the event.

Vincent Boon is a digital artist & creative developer based in Rotterdam.
He explores interactive experiences that center the connection between his work and the audience on a deeper level. To do this, he tells stories from a personal point of view that create recognisability to the perceiver. These stories move in the realm of tension between people, media, and technology.
The through line in his productions is the collaboration with composers and musicians to build a (digital) world that fully immerses the observer.
To tap into the potential of computer graphics, Vincent creates his own design tools that are derived from his great interest in real-time media such as Touchdesigner and Unity.

I value the process – from prototyping to production and from design to development. Here I explore my imagination, which I translate into (spatial) Extended Reality realms that carry their own tailored set of rules.
The common thread in my productions is the collaboration with composers and musicians. Together we create a (digital) world that fully immerses the observer in a sensory audio-visual experience.
dreamweaving within is a vr prototype created during the kaboom virtual reality residency. an interdisciplinary group was dedicated to studying the intersection of dreaming and vr. over the past months, this team of 5 creatives has immersed themselves in exploring the theories behind the language of images in dreams. it is said that modern societal constructs have clouded our understanding of this language, being acknowledged now only by a few. kaboom’s team aims to shed light on this forgotten language, investigating its potential applications for vr design.
the essence of this research works around a paradox: while these dream images can be received, their true understanding often eludes us. attempting to rationalise these images may distance us further from their significance rooted in intuition and feeling. this project wants to recognise this language’s existence and multiple definitions, embracing its beauty and mystery by developing an interactive experience. the result of the workshop is a work-in-progress vr experience that tries to convey the felt power of the dreamworld images while also acknowledging that we need to modify the relationship between sign, signified and signifier to understand it.
in dreamweaving within, the participant is confronted with the irony of trying to comprehend the vast and nebulous experience of dreams and the dreamworld. their urge to rationalise and verbalise everything is challenged, opening the floor for new epistemologies. the goal is to create a moment where participants can embark on a journey to discover the realm of dreams, their intuition and vr.

Our policy is unlimited re-entry. You can come and go as you please so you can come for De Dag and also join us for De Nacht!
The Soundsystem will start booming from 18.00 onwards. (You will not want to miss Louie Stew @loustew98 warm up those coils with his selections!!!) Before that we have workshops and lectures on sound, dance, radio and political activism.
There will also be installations running all day for you to immerse yourself. And a secret line-up on our balcony full of local Utrecht sounds. There will be free tea and coffee with heaters so you won’t get a chill.
Lastly but not leastly ;) we have one of the most respected media and culture book dealers @underbelly.soundartmedia setting up a pop-up shop in the venue… the perfect stop for that Xmas gift to any art freaks in the family ;;))

To become a digital media wizard, Vincent Boon, also known as @variable.means , started creating digital worlds, collaborating with various artists to create multi-disciplinary immersive experiences.
@variablemeans presents: Diary of a Shapeshifter, an experimental VR experience about personal transformation while being haunted by one’s shadow. In this audiovisual experience, jointly created with the composer @eforez , also playing during the dag with his electronic duo @Bzaka_andthe_Owlgod , the viewer is confronted with the feelings that an artist faces when going through an existential crisis.
This psychedelic and fever-dream-like experience will bring you inside the immersive canvas of @variablemeans . Triggering your senses by making your eyes meet a stylized black-and-white world and inviting your ears to relax to the majestic synths of @eforez . Here, you will be haunted by the shadows cast by the fear of an artist when facing a surreal manifestation of his/her subconscious mind.
