Yesterday was a day to remember ✨ I presented my piece NANM at World of Dance's showcase 🙌🏾💖 I'm not sure Haitian dance has ever been featured at WOD before, at least in Canada ! I feel so honored to have been able to share my culture with a public of talented dancers and more amazing people 🙌🏾 Thank you @worldofdancemtl for selecting me. It tells a lot about your openness to a diversity of dance styles. God, we need representation in the dance scene 🙌🏾✨ To have the opportunity to bring my @the_union_axtended team with me to showcase this was the icing on the cake. Thank you for trusting me to teach you this dance full of so much history and emotions. It's been quite a rollercoaster. This creation is a part of my soul, and practice after practice, it became a part of each of the dancers. There were ups and downs, (iykyk) but today I understand that it was just a way for the Universe of asking me: What are you afraid of? I faced fear after fear, and it still goes on. Cette création est une part de mon âme et, répétition après répétition, elle est devenue une part de chacun.e des danseur.seuse.s. Il y a eu des hauts et des bas (ceux qui savent... ), mais aujourd'hui je comprends que c'était simplement une façon pour l'Univers de me demander : "De quoi as-tu peur ?". J'ai affronté mes peurs les unes après les autres, et le chemin continue.
