Sign up for a market membership during the months of May & June and you'll get a free $5 voucher for a participating vendors' stall right then & there. You can read all about our participating vendors on our blog post on our website, but this week's featured participating vendor is BIG CITY BANNOCK!
It's a gift when food-forward people with culinary know-how and the artistry to innovate are down to share their food with the people around them. Big City Bannock is this and so much more. Big City Bannock is an Indigenous family owned business, whose lovely founders are from the Nlaka’pamux Nation. Using traditional Indigenous ingredients, like elk meat and huckleberries and constructing meals with bannock as the foundation, the Big City Bannock food truck has quickly become a beloved Vancouver favourite - even winning the 2026 Greater Vancouver Food Truck Wars! If you haven't tried 'em yet, we're excited for you.
Find 'em at Trout Lake tomorrow (May 9), and Mt Pleasant this Sunday (May 10)!
Farmers markets are more than places to shop. These are essential community infrastructure. Each week, they create space for connection, support local businesses, and strengthen regional food systems.

Our first vendor to spotlight is... Creekside Cheese & Creamery!! You can read a bit more about Creekside below and find them at Riley Park Farmers Market TOMORROW (May 2)!
Creekside Cheese + Creamery is a small, family-run, certified organic dairy farm and creamery in BC’s Fraser Valley. We raise our own Brown Swiss cattle and craft artisan cheeses, cream-top milk, and yogurt right here on the farm, using only the milk from our own cows.
Because everything starts with our own milk, we stay closely connected to each step: from the pasture to the creamery. As the seasons shift, so does the milk, especially when the cows return to fresh grass in the spring. That change carries through into our cheeses, giving them a flavour that reflects this place and this moment in time.
