I am not sure how I ended up in a room with 40 mind blowing Unicorns (businesses with the potential to grow to £1billion) but if I left feeling that if they could do it …….🦄

When I started Blink, it was to help busy city women take care of their eyebrows. But women they were also discerning - caring about the smallest of details - always wanting to be the best version of themselves.
Over 20 years later, nothing has changed. Not only do we offer services but the curated edit of BBB London brow and lash products. If you know, you know.
Shout out to the Creative Director @izzitoovey@blinkbrowbar and husband for trusting us with his baby @shailendra_kumar68 #vintagemercedes
WORDS BY VANITA PARTI MBE, FOUNDER OF BBB
“Sitting and staring at the rain beating down against the windows, feeling depleted of sunlight, vitamin D and feeling unable muster the energy to make sensible decisions, I decided to book a last-minute flight to India.
I took off to a retreat called Vana, somewhere, that I have been recommended time and time again and dreamt of visiting but never pressed the ‘Go’ button.
On landing, I could feel that the air was immediately crisper, the skies bluer than Delhi and most certainly London. We (my husband and I) were picked up by hotel car and taken an hour’s drive along the windy roads to Vana.
I went to India expecting to reset my body.
What I didn’t expect was to rethink how we approach beauty entirely.
I wore very little makeup at Vana, but I still packed a few brow and lash essentials. After days filled with oils, treatments and early mornings, they became less about “getting ready” and more about bringing structure, brightness and balance back to my face.”

Brow lessons from Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy:
She followed fashion, but did so with caution. Like the cuff of her shirt and the watch on her wrist, the arch of her brow reflected who she was: understated. The difference is in the small details: shape, tone, proportion - that’s what made it work for her.
Her brows didn’t change with every trend, but instead kept true to what suited her: controlled, balanced, and considered.
Most brows age because they follow what’s currently trending, but hers didn’t.
Many moons ago the amazing @misslisaarmstrong interviewed me and asked me who my style icon was. It has always been Carolyn Bessette. Her 90s elegance was a welcome relief from 80s fluorescent pinks, big hair and Sue Ellen shoulder pads. She brought Kate Moss to us via Calvin Klein and with it, understated elegance. The first to make a simple crisp white oversized shirt go a long way, the smallest of details being observed. Her brows, skinny as hell (she was a fashionista after all) still beautifully shaped and coloured in. The shade @blinkbrowbar we call Chai, a soft taupe. I am so pleased she has been re-introduced via Love Story to the generations after that don’t know her and been revived for her fan club. #carolynbessette #blinkbrowbar
The Beauty Briefing #4
These days, eyebrow threading is a beauty industry norm. But back in 2014, it raised eyebrows in more ways than one. In the latest episode of #Liberty’s Beatuty Briefing, #BlinkBrow founder @vanitablink sits down with @bfg_graham and Charlotte Semler (founder of #Votary and #Verden), to talk about how she created the UK’s most pivotal eyebrow business, from an idea and a chair to a beloved brand with salons all across the UK.
