Vanishing Faces - Avalon EP
From the history of its abbey to its holy wells, ancient trackways and creeping mists, the Isle of Avalon in the South West of England is rich with myth and legend. The Avalon EP features five tracks of impressionist ambient electronica. Produced in an attic room looking out across the Somerset Levels towards Glastonbury Tor, it seeks to capture some of the atmosphere of this mystical landscape.
The first track, ‘Invocation’, invites you to rise up and embrace the magic, while the title track in parts 1-3, settles into a more contemplative mood. The closing ‘Ancient Trackways’ fully embraces Avalon’s otherworldliness.
The bonus track is from a recording made at Scorhill Stone Circle for BBC Radio 4’s Broadcasting House.
