J.E. Rhodes Elementary was the happiest place on earth yesterday! ✨🏰
Students spent the day on a virtual field trip through the parks at Walt Disney World! From “riding” popular attractions to learning about classic fairy tales and beloved characters, classrooms were filled with Disney magic! 🎢📚
They rounded out the day with Disney-inspired writing activities and a math review! Learning can be magical too! ❤️🐭

Creativity came to life in the sweetest way this week! 👾🧵✨
Earlier this month, our kindergarten students designed their very own monster masterpieces using crayons, markers, and LOTS of imagination. Then, our talented 8th graders got to work bringing those drawings to life as handmade felt monsters! ✂️
After weeks of sewing, stitching, and carefully matching every fun detail, the finished monsters were delivered this week—and our kindergarteners loved seeing their creations transformed into something they could hug and keep forever! ❤️
This project continues to be such a fun way to connect students across campuses while celebrating creativity and collaboration in Vandal Land! 🎉

Yesterday was another favorite tradition in Vandal Land–College Signing Day! 🎓✍️
Nearly 100 of our seniors officially announced their plans for life after graduation, including universities, community colleges, trade schools, and the military.
With our junior class and a few Van Intermediate School students in attendance, the event was also a great reminder that at Van ISD, "After High School Comes OPPORTUNITY!" ❤️
We are proud to celebrate each student and the opportunities ahead of them! Congratulations to the Van High School Class of 2026!

College Wednesday at Van Intermediate School came with a surprise twist today! 🤪
The staff showed up in their Aggie gear and blonde wigs to dress just like Principal Marty Moore! From the maroon shirts to the signature blonde hair, they definitely understood the assignment!! 😂👍

Van High School's Bison Crew recently spent the day at Tyler State Park, touring maintenance facilities and meeting with park police, maintenance supervisors, and operators to learn about the many career opportunities and benefits available through Texas State Parks! 🌲☀️
While there, students also rolled up their sleeves to help assemble ADA-compliant park benches, making a lasting impact during their visit! A huge thank you to Derek Dye, Sara Barber, David Roach, and Grant Martin for providing such a meaningful and memorable experience for our students! ❤️

Today we celebrated one of our favorite Vandal traditions... SENIOR WALK!!! ❤️🎓
Van High School seniors joined hands with our kindergarten graduates and walked down the sidewalk, surrounded by cheering Vandals, families, faculty, and staff! 🥳
This moment is always special for our seniors as they look back on the journey that brought them here. It’s just as meaningful for our youngest Vandals—giving them a look at what’s ahead. In a few short years, they’ll be the ones in the red cap and gown, holding little hands and taking their final walk through Van ISD. ✨🙌
