Hey lovely people. Hope all is well on this new Monday and heading towards sunshine and the summer. Felt very lucky to be with @artforcure and our lovely volunteers who give their time to support this amazing charity raising funds via Art and sculpture for Breast cancer. It’s humbling to chat to so many who have been touched by this horrid disease. The gardens @wykenvineyards are beautifully curated with a stunning sculpture exhibition which looks like it’s always been there and beautiful paintings in the Barn. With the sound of the new Peacock and a Robin who was nesting near I had a wonderful day. Had a lovely catch up with @brigittegirling painting in the shepherds hut she will be here on Thursday 21st for a drawing workshop all details online. On until end of June it’s worth a visit we also have a fabulous art army trail for the younger budding artist from @pocket_kids_ so half term will be covered. Sometimes having a couple of days in town is the best creative lift. Time away going to the @vamuseum with my buddy @laurajacksonwillis to see the Schiaparelli exhibition was a dream. With stunning details in tailoring finished with embroidery and playful buttons and fastenings this is a must. With a cuppa in the William Morris’s room we spent the afternoon taking in British design from the 15th century onto art neaveau and art deco - The textiles and tiles I loved giving me inspiration for my own home. Then off to @aircontemporarygallery@hamyardhotelsoho for drinks and to @motherdaughtercreate private view. A stunning of new collection of paintings and lovely to see some friends. A mooch along the kings road then a little bit of shopping in our favourite @mercantilelondon - happy weekend all we are open today with a warm smile. Hello lovely people. How was your weekend. Well colour me happy the peonies came and went so quickly from @newbournefresh they looked so perfect sitting pretty in my garden. Had a wonderful Sunday morning in Bungay at their May plant sale - couldn’t resist going back to @matthewcook69 and came away with a some herbs ready to add to my pots. Bungay has the fabulous @earshamstdeli and the new @baked.onearshamstreet which has become very popular. So popular I’m back meeting a friend this morning for a catch up. Love a rocking chair. I fell inlove with the gorgeous vintage pink rocker in my friend’s @laurajacksonwillis and for a long time hoped one day she would pass it on to me. Well here she is so pretty in our dining room a perfect spot for Sunday morning papers with a cuppa. Our dining room already for a lovely supper so good to be in our home what a lovely evening. Happy Friday all and hello new followers. How has that happened it’s so warming to wake up to new friends of Vanil. We live in Woodbridge with the river Deben on our doorstep. Lovely walks and being on our boat is one of my loves. Amelia rose is nearly ready to go back in the water and I cannot wait to spend some time pottering down the river. It’s the place I relax take time and really slow down with my lovely Henry. Flowers are always in our shop and home they can finish a room and lift how one feels. We love vintage chairs textiles and ceramics and supporting artisans makes me happy. Thank you for supporting our little brand means so much. Happy new day. Had to change the window as the stunning daybed went to a new home. I really wanted to keep but it’s gone to a special place. We only have pieces that I would also have in my own home. Chairs and ceramics there are many. Yesterday I met the lovely people behind @suffolkstory the most beautiful book. A Story told through Food, Drink and People. A collection of stories recipes and photographs across the county. We have a few. Copies left as they have already sold out. With a gorgeous morning walk with @chefrobbie13 it was a gorgeous start to the week. Picked wild garlic and refreshed the vases with cow parsley. What a wonderful bank holiday weekend. A private view @artforcure@wykenvineyards with fabulous support from Suffolk supporters of this worthy breast cancer charity. Beautiful art and sculpture available to see in May and June. Had a special time at home with our first delivery of Poenies from @newbournefresh they are my favourites. Lovely time at a friends stunning home and garden and then had the most delicious cinnamon bun with lemon cream from @baked.onearshamstreet - then a wonderful visit to @matthewcook69 which always lifts my spirits. Every corner is curated with vintage ceramics clothing ribbons candles and lots more. Then Stopped off in Yoxford @roweandwilliams gallery to finish the weekend. Glorious sculptures in the most idyllic of settings. Fabulous paintings in the outrageously delicious restaurant. And I sold one on opening night! Happy, happy me because @artforcure is the most incredible cause raising funds for those affected by breast cancer so every sale makes a huge difference!

I started sketching in the gardens today - it was hot and I felt disoriented and frankly very over stimulated by so much to look at but so thrilled to be there. Looking forward to settling in and finding my feet or rather brush and pen!

Our very own shepherds hut. I’d happily make myself at home here set up with a couple of cushions a pot of tea and some cake. This rather gorgeous space is where you’ll find @brigittegirling with her paints and brushes as part of @artforcure forth coming exhibition at @wykenvineyards - along side beautiful sculpture in the gardens there are paintings in the stunning restaurant. We had the perfect weather for setting up ready to open this coming Saturday. The exhibition is on in May and June and definitely worth a visit.
