@catchingspiritsfilm was awarded the Jury Award for Live Action Short at the @nhff this weekend, making our film eligible to submit to the Academy! This is New Hampshire Film Festivals 1st year as an Oscar qualifier and they gave it to us! Iām honored and blown away.
Itās a long road to touching an Oscar nomination and lots of competition, but the jury, programmers and team at @nhff made this Haitian womanās dreams that much more possible! Thank you so much.

In the midst of the @catchingspiritsfilm festival run/jury award/ Oscar eligibility madness, my dear and talented friend @mariewin said āI think you should apply for this program. Itās really prestigious, highly competitive but Youāre gonna get in.ā I said thanks for the vote of confidenceā¦ then looked at how competitive this process was and just about folded. š¤£š
But āthe universeā aka my ancestors and (because Iām lucky) my friend and (because accountability and grit are important to me) I held my feet to the fireā¦ and here we are.

When the doors open! Many months ago I + 600 ish other directors applied to the @sonypicturestv directors creative pipeline program. Today, I am honored to announce I am 1 of 7 selected. When I stepped onto the Sony lot, and interviewed with execs @hilsholtburn@rinavarughese - the conversation flowed like water, I felt RIGHT AT HOME.
I was happy to be in the room meeting these passionate and intentional people and shocked to hear they were taking it from several hundred applicants down to 7!
Thank you to @sonypicturestv@hilsholtburn@j_haas_rb@rinavarughese for creating such a welcoming space and wrapping us with support.
