Multidisciplinary artist and performer Vanessa Sindihebura (@vanessa_sin )weaves sound, movement, and storytelling into immersive, emotionally charged experiences. In this interview, they speak about Biheko, a piece that explores mothering, forgotten histories, and the power of rest as a form of resistance. Drawing from East African oral traditions, field recordings of insects, and pre-colonial queer histories, Sindihebura crafts a multisensory space where collective memory and identity unfold. From Lausanne to Rwanda and Burundi, their artistic journey is an act of reclamation—of beauty, truth, and rest.

Dans le cadre de la Semaine d’action contre le racisme, l’Arsenic propose une rencontre consacrée aux réalités vécues par les acteurxices culturels confrontéexs au racisme au sein des institutions.
Il s’agit de faire émerger des expériences collectives. De mettre en lumière les mécanismes souvent invisibles des discriminations raciales. Et de comprendre comment celles et ceux qui les subissent naviguent, résistent et s’organisent collectivement et individuellement face à ces violences structurelles.
La discussion sera modérée par Prisca Ratovonasy qui prendra appui sur plusieurs séquences de son podcast : Noro, Au fil des maux de la culture.

Exploring the architectural possibilities of computer music, Luis Sanz focuses on the interplay between coding and modular hardware. His work investigates nonlinear systems and real-time synthesis, as a solo performer and within the audiovisual collective Unsorted. He also co-curated Farmhouse and Unsorted Space, nurturing experimental sound and performance in Zurich.

Ugandan producer, DJ and artist. Masaka’s work moves through heavily mangled samples, percussion, jazz loops and chopped vocals — with techno and deconstructed club energies cutting through. DJ Mag wrote: “A lot to take in on paper… the reality is an incredibly beautiful and cohesive body of work, where jagged beats pierce hazy atmospherics and melancholic moods.”
