When I was in College, at Escuela de Artes Plasticas in San Juan, I had an amazing teacher, Julio Suarez for Color theory. An incredible painter.. I’ll never forget how he was able to describe color… you would be able to taste it, smell it, know if it was a hot day or cold breezy one, by the ocean or in a grandmothers kitchen, bright fruits, warm coffee, burnt charcoal.. I still paint with his influence.
