In the lush of Africa, the majestic mountain gorillas roam.
These incredible creatures inhabit two main regions that include the virunga mountains and #bwindi Impenetrable National park.
Their population estimates 1,063 with Uganda having 50% of the total population.
Despite their physical strength, mountain gorillas face numerous threats like Habitat loss, poaching, disease transmission from humans and climate change.
In Uganda's cohensive conservation efforts are underway that has led to the increments in mountain gorilla population.

This is a monumental sculpture representing the mountain gorilla as it is among the endangered spices of animals in the world.
Mountain gorillas are shy gentle giants that display human - like behaviours like emotions, physical gestures, laughter and mainly feed on vegetation.
They are found in three countries with their natural habitats, this is Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. The largest population is found in western Uganda, in Bwindi Impenetrable National game park.
The gorillas face numerous challenges such as destruction of their natural habitats, climate change, poaching, pests and disease that are a threat to their existence.
The Ugandan government has set several laws to protect and conserve the gorilla population and this has contributed to the increase in their population.
Having gone for a physical gorilla trekking in Bwindi, I thought of building this monumental sculpture to become a beacon of hope to all gorilla conservation movements and promotions of Gorilla /tourism in my country Uganda.

Every time I strike an arc, I’m reminded of my purpose, to create and to inspire. Growing up, I watched my father also my first mentor bring his visions to life. It was in those moments that I found my own passion for fusing metal and telling the stories of my generation.
I hail from Northern Uganda, where we call fire “Mac” pronounced (Maah-ch). Today, that fire is what drives me forward. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone following this journey, you all are the reason I keep building.

From the ashes of what I lost, I built who I am becoming.
This year stripped me down to the essentials. It taught me that progress is the only perfection that matters. I fought silent battles that turned into quiet strength, and I am ending this year with a steadiness I have never felt before.
The universe has a design for all of us. My goal is to embrace mine fully and pour it back into the world.
