Honoring dedication and commitment! 💛
At our 2026 Service Awards, we proudly recognized employees for their years of service and celebrated the retirees whose impact on our district will never be forgotten. Thank you for your hard work, passion, and years of dedication to our students, staff, and community. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees! 👏🏆💙🎉
At this month’s Board Meeting, the district proudly recognized two outstanding educators for their incredible accomplishments! 👏
⭐ Robin Ellison of Rancho Verde High School was honored for being named one of only THREE finalists for the National AVID Counselor of the Year Award!
⭐ Dinah Greene of Orange Vista High School was recognized for being selected as Vice President of the California Association of Directors of Activities Board.
Thank you both for your leadership, dedication, and commitment to empowering students every day! 💙
Superintendent Dr. Amerson continued our district’s “Undercover Boss” tradition this morning by spending the day alongside instructional aide Aaliyah Blackburn. This experience offers a meaningful opportunity to step into the daily role of staff and gain valuable insight into the important work happening across our schools.
It was a pleasure spending the morning with Ms. Blackburn and witnessing her dedication, professionalism, and the care she brings to supporting students. Her hard work and commitment reflect the very best of our district.
We are grateful for the opportunity to highlight the incredible staff who make a difference for students every day.💙

756 people.
One campus.
Endless curiosity.
Triple Crown Elementary STEAM Night was a celebration of learning, creativity, and community.
Families traveled classroom to classroom with passport cards, taking on hands-on challenges in:
🔬 Science
💻 Technology
⚙️ Engineering
🎨 Arts
➕ Math
The real highlight? Watching students say, “Let me show you how this works.”
For one special night, scholars became the teachers. Students sharing their thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity with the people who cheer them on most.
Because STEAM Night is about more than projects. It’s about confidence, connection, and showing students what’s possible when school and family come together.

In honor of Autism Awareness Month, El Potrero Preschool proudly hosted its very first Sensory Day, welcoming families to experience firsthand the power of sensory based learning.
Parents and guardians had the opportunity to step into their children’s world, engaging in hands on activities that support development, communication, and emotional growth. It was a meaningful day filled with connection, understanding, and appreciation for the diverse ways our students learn.
As a district, we are committed to promoting awareness, fostering understanding, and embracing acceptance for all students. 💙
Small habits. Big impact. 💙
At Lakeside Middle School, students are building skills they’ll use for the rest of their lives.
This year, Lakeside launched digital planners schoolwide. Students track assignments daily, while AVID tutors provide weekly planner checks with support and feedback.
What looks like a planner is really practice for:
✔️ Organization
✔️ Time management
✔️ Accountability
✔️ Goal setting
✔️ Problem-solving
✔️ Receptiveness to feedback
Today it’s homework and due dates.
Tomorrow it’s careers, leadership, and handling life with confidence.
Because middle school isn’t just about preparing for the next test...it’s about preparing for the future.
