Soft & Tender Topographies at Bar Basso
The iconic Milanese institution becomes the ephemeral setting for Valextra’s special project with @objects_of_common_interest , an itinerant landscape of textures and materialities in perfect equilibrium. The collaboration continues Valextra’s ongoing engagement with art and design on the occasion of Milan Design Week 2026.
The installation continues in Valextra’s Milan flagship boutique on Via Manzoni through Sunday, April 26th.

To inaugurate Soft & Tender Topographies by @objects_of_common_interest , Valextra hosted a breakfast preview of the exhibition with international designers, curators, and cultural figures.
The exhibition is now open to the public for Milan Design Week 2026, and runs through Sunday, April 26th, at Valextra’s flagship boutique in Via Manzoni.

An exploration of materials and dimensions, Soft & Tender Topographies is a study of playful perception and inherent tactility that exudes Valextra’s distinctive Milanese attitude.
Retreating into the back of the boutique, Objects of Common Interest’s exclusively commissioned Metamorphic Rock stools extend the topography into a habitable zone that celebrates the notion of objects as both works of art and everyday essentials.
