EXHIBITION HIGHLIGHT: Treasures by @valetitakis This image was taken during a reunion held to say goodbye to the artist’s uncle and grandfather, both of whom would pass away only months later, in Piriapolis, Uruguay. It marked the fourth cancer diagnosis in the artist’s family, and the third death in five years. From afar, grief takes on a strange, dislocated form: “a phantom limb,” Where nightmares fold into the rhythm of daily life and the questions linger: Who will be next? When should I say goodbye? Born in Uruguay, Valentina Titakis holds a degree in Communication Science and Filmmaking from Montevideo. Now based in Berlin, she works across independent film, photography, poetry, and riso printing.

NEW FILM: RAT (2023). 26 minutes, horror-comedy. Link in bio. 🐀 Summary: Cee, a depressed Berlinite who's over it, becomes convinced that their apartment has been invaded by a miniature monster. Crawling, sputtering, squeaking from the gutters of Berlin's ketamine-concentrate sewage waters comes RAT, a semi-true story about someone who got lost in the Berlin loop. Viewfinder and I summoned this no-budget freakshow from the pits of our Weserstrasse experiences and spat it out here onto video as a sort of exorcism of the soul. To anyone whose Berlin fantasy has curdled into currywurst: this is for you. Thank you Vale for producing this beast, Freddy and Viewfinder for writing such a weird score, all the beautiful extras who came and danced for us, Lola for your midnight blue camera, Nora for making sure the nose was always torn, and most of all Anna for sharing your life with me for the screen. Después del Futuro: 2025 en Reflexión En un año en el que el futuro se percibe acelerado y frágil a la vez, la fotografía se convierte en una forma de permanecer en el presente, una insistencia en observar, en ralentizar el ritmo. Implica una colaboración entre fotógrafx, el mundo circundante y las condiciones impredecibles que le dan forma a cada cuadro. Las obras presentadas sirven tanto como testimonio personal como memoria colectiva del año. Revelan no solo cómo fue el 2025, sino también cómo se sintió: la disonancia de vivir en una época en la que el optimismo tecnológico choca con el estrés medioambiental, en la que la inestabilidad política se ve contrarrestada por momentos de ternura, en la que la hiperconectividad profundiza el aislamiento social, en la que la apatía surge frente al cuidado personal radical. El futuro ya no es un horizonte imaginario: es la textura de nuestra vida cotidiana. Y estas fotografías son la evidencia de los futuros que temíamos, los futuros con los que soñábamos y los futuros que nunca hubiéramos podido imaginar. Nos recuerdan que, incluso en un año marcado por la incertidumbre, el acto de mirar —y elegir qué conservar— sigue siendo una poderosa forma de agencia. A través de sus lentes, lxs ocho artistas seleccionadxs nos muestran no solo su representación del mundo, sino la complejidad de estar vivos en él.
