⟡ Hi, I’m Val. Short for Valeria, with a middle name of Sol ☀️, a name I’ve always loved
⟡ With a few new faces around here, it feels like the perfect time to reintroduce myself
⟡ Before this business had a name, it was just a quiet idea.. I never expected this to become something so meaningful
⟡ I had a BTS content creator at my own wedding in my hometown of Miami on October 2023
⟡ I remember wondering what it would be like to be that person capturing the in-between candid moments
⟡ Life took a beautiful turn. I spent a month in Japan for my honeymoon with my amazing new husband
⟡ We came back with the greatest surprise…our son, who just turned one
⟡ Around the same time, I started a new chapter as a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner
⟡ I had just finished my master’s at the University of Miami after 10 years as a bedside critical care nurse
⟡ I quietly put the content dream aside until I dipped my toes in by helping film a wedding for someone close to me, not realizing it would plant the seed for something so much bigger
⟡ Now I find myself in a full circle moment
⟡ One of my biggest dreams was to collaborate with Chic Parisien; the boutique where I found my wedding dress
⟡ I wore the Carina gown by Ines Di Santo 🎀, paired with a cathedral veil by Peter Langner
⟡ The day I said “YES” became the last joyful memory I shared with my mother before she passed
⟡ She was my best friend, a Miami hairstylist icon and the reason I leaned into my creativity
⟡ My stepdad was there too. He’s loved me like his own for as long as I can remember; my love for him is just as strong
⟡ My sister couldn’t make that fitting but had been with us for every other dress appointment
⟡ When our mom passed, she stepped in the same way she always had my entire life; strong, loving and steady
⟡ Even if this business didn’t grow another inch, being part of the Ines Di Santo 2026 Trunk Show at Chic Parisien would still be a dream fulfilled
⟡ But I know there’s more ahead. And I know my mom is smiling from above

Happiest of Mother’s Days to the women whose love shapes generations. It takes love, strength, courage and resilience to do what a mother does. Not every day is easy and not every day is hard but a mother’s love is always present. Today we celebrate the women whose hearts hold families together, whose sacrifices often go unseen and whose love leaves a legacy that lasts forever. I began this video with my husband and his mother and ended it with my mother, who is in heaven.
